I feel like people are missing that magic heroes are primarily offensive heroes with a few exceptions that can be used on defense. The weaknesses mentioned so far really donāt apply when youāre choosing to pick the character to beat an opposing team.
100% fiend damage every turn from a hero with extremely high attack seems very good to me. Especially since it takes 60% healing to remove it and the opponentās mana regen is crippled.
Ulius provides one of the best things for offense - flexibility. For example, if you use him in a 3-2 or 2-2-1 you can fire the minions after 5 tiles. Then start matching a different color and youād only need 6 tiles to fire a fast hero like Anne or Jove. As long as you have at least 14% mana gain for them between troops and talents and their minion is still alive.
You can only use 5 defenders so why do so many people simply dismiss heroes who might not make it into a lineup of a part of the game thatās purely passive?
Isnāt this guy similar to Motega (minion and fiend maker), but I donāt see any comparisons to him? I still find Motega useful on offense so I probably would get use out of this guy if I pulled him
He is. though I feel motega has more valueā¦ the 50% blind is amazing and the damage up really helps. 20% mana bump is okā¦ Iāll do the math real quick because 24% is betterā¦

Iāll let yaāll draw your own conclusionsā¦ but it would be nice if I could get down to the 3/6/9 tiles for some of the heroesā¦ but I very well could be asking for too much.
For me he is a hero for long battles.
For assaults, perhaps the one that needs to increase the mana can be useful, although it will be difficult to reach the second charge.
In map phases and tournaments if you activate the second charge it does leave the enemy without mana and if you do it 2 times the enemy does not get mana.
I have been testing with Ulius (partially leveled) for a few days. You are right that he is built for long battles. I lost the first battle against this team due to it timing out. Finally broke through on the second attempt. Warning, this one is long and boring which probably doesnāt appeal to most peopleās playstyle.
Iād like a fiend that does 3 different things based on how many fiends are on the opponent. 1ā¦ nothingā¦ 2. blind plus man downā¦ 3. blind mana down and attack/defense down.
Now that he has been out for a bit what does everyone thing? I am debating leveling to match with 3 Pets for the family bonus. I have a backlog of good blues though so hesitant to pull the trigger.
There are a lot of good blues and he isnāt one of the main ones I use. I took him to 85 and his stats are great but so far I only use him for 2 things:
Tough bosses/tower/challenge levels. You can slow enemy mana to a crawl by dropping fiends on them.
When I use Waterpipe. I fire Ulius first so Waterpipeās minions last longer so they can drain mana.
I have motega and him. Motega is very good but ulius is amazing. I cast the minion first to boost my mana and then i try to dump as many fiends as possible because the fiend stats are off the charts when cimpared to my other fiend characters. Each fiend hits for 100% damage and it takes 50% healt to heal one away. And the whole team gets reduced mana until they can remove them. I canāt see why people donāt like him. Maybe there are stronger fiends in the game but i donāt have any characters that produce fiends that powerful.
I tried this combo, it was very good, but i use Camilla so i can heal or hit with max health reduction. I also tried running with motega too, but for me camilla and ray paired the best with him.
Wow, you didnāt find his fiends to be crazy dureable and hit crazy hard? 100% damage is my highest damage dealing fiend, and the generate less mana while they are trying to heal them away. I run a lot of slow characters so the mana bump from minions help a lot as well. I was kinda unimpressed when he was lower level but after his 3rd level up he was very strong for me.
