šŸ¦… Ukkonen ā€“ 5* Fire / Red from Legends of Kalevala

I went sword, however, I am now second-guessing my decision as he is a tank, full attack his defense is great, but his health is not so great, maybe go the attack route and pick up a couple of additional HP nodes.

i went primarily shield but now i am second guessing myself too, usually it seems pretty clear cut but this one seemed to be viable either way, but i guess survivability is good and can get tile damage with other heroes

Iā€™d rather have taken defense/hp and not be sure than have taken full attack and not have been sure, let me put it that way, his damage isnā€™t everything, heā€™s used in defenses for that dispel immunity and sizeable attack down, so in that regard, yeah - full shield is good.

If you have a ludwig, you could put him in as one of your tanks and then you could put a bard back in and both would get sped up still. Im just assuming you took it out because 2 tanks from the same family negate the bard effect.

yeah his immunity is the main selling point for me next to Luna

Yes exactly. Thanks for pointing that out. I unfortunately donā€™t have Ludwig (crazy i know) i do have most bard heroes. Wish i would have chosen Ludwig way back when in the soul exchange. Iā€™ll probably regret that forever.

Youll get him, or more likely you will get the new guy who is even better. Phenexa would be a good one to use when you do. She is one of my favorite bards, i donā€™t have Rhys (the yellow guy, i think his name is Rhys).

Ty so much. I have phenexa. I pulled Rhys when they first released him. It was one of the first heroes I got that was special, this was before people started loving Rhys. I didnā€™t realize myself the goldmine i had pulled. I too really enjoy the bard heroes. Iā€™ve been luck to get all of them except the slow green one winifred. I hope you get Rhys :hugs: and again appreciate your kind reply.

Can someone make this make sense to meā€¦ the way itā€™s worded makes it seem like immunity itself should ALSO be included with the special; not just immunity to the dispels. See the ā€œaddtl info tabā€ @Petri @PlayForFun

Itā€™s saying that the immunity effect is also immune to dispels or reallocation. Itā€™s clear to me so confused about the question, sorry

The doublespeak is what was confusing; wouldā€™ve made more sense imo without the extra

I agree it would have made sense without the extra info and I donā€™t think anyone would have questioned it (thinking that immunity could be dispelled). I noticed itā€™s the same for Zircon and Belladonna too.

Take him to 90 he is great and very hard to kill

They should have put The caster and nearby allies recover 618 HP over 3 turns. The effect duration is reset if the status effect owner is hit with direct damage from a special skill. This effect canā€™t be dispelled.

Or reallocated. 20 characters of :tomato::tomato:

Letā€™s bump it up to 816 if you want to get crazy.

Is he still worthy ?

I hate to say ā€œit depends,ā€ but it does, compared to what you have.

If Ukkonen is competing against the latest monsters from Ć¼berportals, then probably not, butā€¦

he does do a moderate hit-all with a bit of heal-over-time (which is better if it sets off passives that trigger every time healing is received) and attack nerf, especially vs blue (so Ukkonen seems a reasonable red tank, at least in his weight class).

The headline is perhaps ā€œundispellable buffsā€ to nearby, so where heā€™ll tend to shine is, of course, if and when paired with buffs you really donā€™t want to go away: Ludwig, Luna, GHippo, counterattack, etc.

Satori? Hatchico? For example?

Vs Hachiko:

Ukkonen compares reasonably, with slightly higher stats, and just a different skillset. Obviously, Hach counterattacks and buffs crit chances, whereas Ukk is more defensive. Ukk is probably better at tanking per se.

Countering Ukk is either dispel or attack up (to counter attack down) or a quick buff block (to prevent Ukkā€™s HoT but especially buff-protect); countering Hach is more about dispel (especially priority dispel, or dispel-without-hit), but also possibly buff-block of course.

If you are going to use Ukkonenā€™s ā€œundispellable buffā€ ability together with someone whose buffs can make a real difference, then Ukk probably is better. If you are mostly going to use Ukk for his other abilities instead, then more of a toss-up, depending on what you need.

Vs Satori

ah hahahahahahahaha

Satori is a monster and can win or at least turn entire fights (in my experience). Better stats (much better when you consider the family bonus), stronger hit, much stronger hit against cleansers and dispellers, and the ā€œdodge all damageā€ buff is ridiculous and retributive if dispelled (assuming enemy dispellers survive Satoriā€™s smack). Also? All those passives. (Ukkonenā€™s Sisu passive is nice, but Satori gets several.)

As far as Iā€™m concerned one of Satoriā€™s few weaknesses is reflect-blue, which is a little more accessible than some other reflect-colors (since both Mitsuko/cMitusko and cKong do so, though they have to survive long enough to do so AND still fire before Satori does).

Ukkonen is pretty good, but for general use, I donā€™t think really compares to Satori. (Youā€™d need a pretty killer ā€œundispellable-buffā€ combo for it to be close, I think.)
