Okay, to be fair, I’ve got a set of 5 star troops, every colour, just the one my current def heroes need. I’ve got additional 2 4star troops (Magic/Mana) wirh 29.
And now???
I mean, I don’t spend money on troops, never did. It’s just farming over the years and heroe academy.
I gave away a third 4 star troop and don’t have enough feeders for a) bringing the 4th 4 star on 28/29 to convert them and b) have enough feeders for the 5star…
Will it be my destiny to chase heroes with the matching classes or accept the 15% lower potential health? Will there be a limit break for troops?
What would the community do?
What are you doing in this situation…
having a set of 5 star troops, every color, which met your heroes color and class without spending money, it’s rather you who should teach me !! I’ve spent a lot only to have 5 legendary troops that don’t even meet the classes of the heroes I use
I suppose that all you have to do now is simply having fun ?
Honestly, I don’t stress it. I have all 5 colors and one extra yellow. Unless you are in a top alliance, chasing that one color you need in the right class sounds like frustration waiting to happen. I’d focus on what you have, that’s my strategy.
Just keep doing what you have been doing, keep leveling those 4 star troops, then convert them into another set of 5 stars. Then max those and so on into eternity…
The only other option I see is to work on 2 and 3 star troops instead for tourneys and events…
I would guess there will be more in the future to come, maybe LBs for troops or new 5 star troops or who knows, but I wouldn´t worry so much about what might happen in the future.
I didnt listen to anybody and converted my 4 stars to 5stars i wanted, to match my defense, have an extra blue to another hero, now im finishing the seconds 4* to trade again to other Heroes i want some change in defense i think its the way it should be played, and for the heroea too, but instead of trading 20 Heroes and trade for what they want to give us it should be for what we want
I will keep the rainbow set of lvl. 29 magic troops to use with slow heroes
Finishing the 2nd Lego troops in yellow and blue.
Next ( in 3 weeks? ) the green lvl. 29 mana troop will be converted. The purple lvl. 26 mana troop will be brought to lvl. 29 for conversion. But I will wait until I have at least enough feeders to bring the new lego troop to lvl. 19.
In red I bring the lvl. 22 mana troop to lvl 23, then the lvl. 27 styx troop to lvl. 29 for conversion.
With two maxed red lego troops and a lvl. 29 magic troop this conversion will he done, even if there are no feeders. I do not use this styx troop outside of titan attacks. Its to weak.
I don’t know how you guys are doing to get all those troops without spending…

I get six ETTs from every challenge event for years. Before the release of lego troops, I saved them and used them in the towers, especially Magic tower. That got me lots of 4* troops. I think I have now more 4* troops used as feeder troops than in my inventory.
And I produce 3* troops in HA for years too, since the announcement of 5* troops from the beta testers, I stopped HA10 and produce additional 2* troops there too.
IMO powercreep killed HA10, the older HotMs are only bench warmers.
And, very important, farming…. farming…… more farming.
If you are a long time player and grind a ton like me, you should have a troop after your 29 mana troop close to being able to convert. It can be about money but a lot is dedication. Cheers!
I don’t care about the money thing, I spend some, some don’t, who cares ? not me ! I feel like everyone is equal when it comes to puzzles
What strikes me is that despite being a player for at least 4-5 years, farming very often, and spending some money, I’m not at the level of others who apparently don’t spend.
I just wanna be taught the secret !!!
Cause having 5 stars legendary troops, at least one of each color, there’s no farming involved here.

EDIT : and yep, converting 4* troops to 5*, ok. but that still mean you have them, plus, you have them at that level, plus, you had the emblems.
I estimated that you can get 25k-35k emblems for free every year if you are activ. That’s enough for 15-20 5* and a few 4/3 star heroes as well, and the troops do not really matter. If I am low on cleric emblems, I convert to a fighter troop! They both serve the same hero classes and the differences are insignificant.
Considering the power creep, the last thing we need is some drastic power increase across the board for long time players or big spenders with fully maxed 5* troops.
I wish I had a secret but I don’t. I really grind lot and had a TON of troops when they lowered the cost to build up the troops. Had 2 critical troops over level 20 and a couple more Ninja in the high teens so once every 30 days I was quickly able to get them to the level they needed to be.
I only bought a ten pull in the legenday troop portal once and lucked out and got a dupe yellow cleric/fighter troop. Worked wonderfully because I have Hilda/C Gazelle/Cleopatra/Anne all that can use both of those troops.
Keep grinding and making troops in HA, it all adds up eventually.
We (7DU) are killing a 14* Titan every day, sometimes the titan or the titan chests give ett‘s.
Then Mystic Vision. I work from home and can make a tiny break to look the MV add. So I am able to look an aversge of 9x3 ads every day. Once or twice a week it gives an ETT.
Then I fill 4 chests every day, one or two more ETTs every week. In tourneys I am very seldom worse than 10%,. Every month I get 6 ETTs from the Challenge event. 1 or two from AQ or MT.
Before we had only Owl tower, I saved the ETT‘s and used them only in the tower with the 15% probability for a 4* troop. I remember when we had a tower monthly, I skipped Ninja tower most times, and used 30-50 ETTs in the other towers.
That gave me an average of 5-6 4* troops every month.
This are the 4* „feeder troops“ I have retained yet.
Maybe the lvl. 5 troops will be retained and leveled for conversion one day.
There is no secret.
I was lucky to get into a good alliance and got the hint not to waste on crit troops after realising troop leveling will take forever. So I only leveled mana troops and yes I was happy to get 1 of each colour very soon after started playing. This was in summer 2019, after getting mana troops the tower startet with 5% extra chance to get 4star troops. So I saved the tokens, some ninjas came to me, magic in all colours (except green… damn…) and a lot of feeder troops. And then I grinded… every Atlantis, every event with first 1WE costs, then after the change those levels with 2we just to get exp and troops. With getting heroe academy I started to build 3star troops and changed this to 1star and 2star troops the last 4 months to get feeders for the 5star. This was possible, cause I stuffed the whole Iron into 3star troops and now could change it with the food storage to free the iron.
Now, with completing the set, i changed it back to 3star and HA10 for getting costumes…
For events I have 2 and 3 star troops in 2 colours on a higher level.
