Help, i have a lvl 30 4 * troop i want to convert to a 5* troop but i keep getting the msg … " you have chosen a troop that is in my raid defense " . The troop to be converted is not on any of my teams. Can someone help please and thanks in advance.
Maybe it’s in the tournament defense?

Change all your team’s troops to 1* level one troops then try again. If it still doesn’t do it then the troop is likely in your tournament defence or one of your event attack teams .

Especially it you’ve got other 4 *s partly levelled, I’d be tempted to get other heroes up to level 26, 27 or whatever and use them first,

I was going to say this as well. There is no benefit to converting a level 30 instead of a level 26. You’re just “wasting” the food and troops you put into that troop. Most people should probably only convert either Ninja or Critical troops, not mana, wizard or Styx, since the mana bonus for 5* is lower than for 4* of those types.

I have the same issue, I haven’t joined any tournament and my troop is not on any team, still I get the message that it’s in a raid tournament, I sent a message to support and still waiting for a response.
