The idea of two tc13 and two tc20 is making me crazy. But, I need more info before I rant.
My set up is 2xtc11, tc12, tc20. I have more ham than I can use given my personal strategy for roster expansion.
I have a 40 day and 80 day queue on my 11s. My 12 has over 380 days of training backed up as it is my ham/recruit bank. The tc20 is used right now as a utility to train using kits, swords and at night some color specific.
I could be running 20 as a 20 but it serves my needs best this way.
The poster with two tc13s is using them less than optimally in my opinion unless it is situational. If poster is strictly f2p except vip, then it is a vital source for 4*. It is a good bank as well. And that bank is necessary as tc20s should never have more than the one training in progress with no queue.
That no queue means the player must know when the training is complete, and right there when it is done. If the trained hero is worth immediate leveling, the 20 goes to work as a 19. If there was a queue, you waste 5 days or a bunch of either gems or resources. Also, when that worthwhile hero appears, put all the stuff in one tc13 into the other so there can be a tc11.
Now if u have 1 or 2 heroes u want to lvl fast (not quite pwr lvl, but catch em up to the others) if food isn’t an issue, nor is packs or swords, could the occasional, just 3-5 a time, maybe 2x or 3x a day, be worth it? 1st Team is nearing fully lvled, except for Tiburtus and Wu Kong… then Kiril needs 1 warm cape to ascend but lvling Grimm in the meantime…
Search for my post with my rosters to see if I’m doing the right thing by occasionally using usually holy TC for Wu Kong (he just dies VERY quickly against Titans… he’s so squishy)
I have always been building the highest TC I can get my paws on; when I got my TC20, I immediately stopped training TC13’s and switched to TC20 (I have four TC20 now).
As I’m leveling blue and yellow, I use two TC20’s as 20, one for either TC6 or TC9, and the fourth is used for TC19, TC2, or TC3.
This is what works for me.
I do not bank heroes or food because I don’t speed level. More power to those who do.
Not only power levelers. I have more ham than I can use. Of course, I have chosen to not level up some hero just because I can.
My question about your use of 4x tc 20 is whether you train singlely or do you queue? If you queue, this where I suggest a bank such as a tc11 when you have need of feeders or a tc12 if no hero leveling.
I queue maybe up to three TC20 max per bldg. Usually not more than 2 at a time. I like my TC’s open for short term projects like TC19, and I can’t do that if they’re all taken for days and days.
I recently did a bunch of 6-8 on the map and got enough firestone to make a boatload of SuperMana Potions…which ate a lot of ham. But most of my ham cost was 6x TC20 Heroes.
You see, for me, if all four tc20 popped a 4 or 5 in the same cycle…yikes. For you, I understand, four shots at that big hero is better than three. My nightmare is you get what you wish for all at once. That old Irish curse.
Well I have only two 5*. Now if I suddenly got, say, six 5* back-to-back (let me dream!) I would of course switch ALL TC20’s over to a lower production to level my new heroes.
I only have 55 total TC20 pulls in the game thus far; others have had hundreds.
You know you can move the queue from one TC to another, right? If you have 6 days in three TC20s, and you want to run TC19, pick the one which is closest to putting out a hero, and remove one (or two if you have the houses to do it) from its queue, and then add that one to one of your others. Repeat until it only has the one it is currently half-way done with. It will be free as soon as that one finishes.
You can also move recruits from TC20 to TC11, pulling food out of the queue… or from TC11 to TC20, storing food away in the queue.
For this reason, I expect to have one TC20 and one TC11 both loaded up for as long as I play the game. My other two TCs usually have shorter queues and I use them in different modes.
The best sure-fire way to use 6 extra Gunnars: Train one Gunnar with 3x Gunnar (75%) + 6x 2* blue (24%) + 1x 1* blue (2%) = 101% chance of special increase = guaranteed increase each time you do it… Or just feed them one at a time and hope for the best.
Do you know I’ve been playing the game for over 280 days and I have 4 teams over 3200 power AND I didn’t know about the + sign for training multiple heroes? I could never figure out what you players were talking about. I just did my training one at a time and checked them frequently…
One of our players asked a question about it and that’s when I found out. Needless to say they were flabbergasted that I didn’t know this.
Now I’m complaining like everyone else that I don’t have enough food. I do however have 795 backpacks
I hate to laugh at you, but I’m laughing at you. At least you figured about the “-” button at the same time as the “+” button…some people don’t realize you can take them out!
If it makes you feel better, I have an alliance member who didn’t realize that you could pick targets for firing special skills…that revelation really changed raiding!!!
And you can now run TC2 for 16 days on that if you have the recruits and food to do it!
I’m even more embarrassed to admit that I had only learned of targeting during raids just weeks before the + button. I thought I’d discovered something wonderful and when I told everyone they laughed. All except one player who just took pity on me. My ONLY saving grace is that I’ve done so incredibly well without both of these techniques… there is no stopping me now
If you follow my original post for leveling, you will be able to level heros and have resources. To both battle and level heros in a decent time frame. I have been playing a year, I have every regular game 5* and 4* hero except Dominica. All hotm since I started except albrich. And some event heros. I have 22 fully ascended and another 19 ascended as far as I can waiting on material.
I’m kinda curious about that. I farm pretty actively, but I do a mix of 3-flag farming to fill monster chests and 12-9 (or those quests I consider worth the WE) when I’m not filling a chest, 'cuz I get better XP and somewhat better crafting ingredients/etc. while getting respectable recruits (16% less than the 3-flag levels)
I have a nice recruit surplus, but don’t get enough swords and backpacks continuously–I find myself switching it over to TC11 some of the time.
Right now, I’m still using up my rugged clothes stockpile in batches of a few hundred feeders when I build up a nice food surplus. Once I burn through that I’ll be in more of a steady state situation where I have to farm my rugged clothes before I can use them, and I may go to farming the 3-flag zone permanently, probably 7-7 for clothes, or 6-8 for crude iron.
(I wrote more about the question on where to farm/how to run TCs here; I’d invite any comments on my choices there, especially what it takes to keep a TC running swords/backpacks full time.)
