I’m making a new topic partly because I’m lazy but also because I think Sonya is one of the few costumes where she’s really kinda useful either way. Being the only blue dispeller short of Frida which isn’t on everybody’s menu, and being a new, fast dispeller for the cheap 2 play crowd, she fills a lot of holes by her lonesome.
What I’ve found with mine is most of the nodes aren’t too bad, but the +8 branch is the killer where one will have to make a choice whether cleanser or dispeller Sonya is more important.
So thoughts? Would your spec one version over the other or try to be more balanced, so she can pull double duty?
The pics are wonderful! One thing I’m wondering though: how do I know when to use the paladin or the druid? Sonya is fantastic as a paladin, I use her all the time this way, but I see a lot of her as a druid in raids.
Honestly, I don’t play the game pretty much at all anymore; I got tired of the gatcha.
But I thought your question deserved an answer.
Generally speaking, Druid Sonya and Paladin Sonya are nigh identical on offense, but it really depends on the fight you’re going into and what other heroes you have. If you’re expecting to deal with DOTs or debuffs like blind or defense down, you’ll want to bring Druid Sonya because cleansers in general are rare, let alone fast cleansers.
Full disclaimer I’ve not been paying attention to Season 3, so I have no idea if that’s still true.
But if you need a dispeller, Paladin Sonya is good at that too.
It really depends on how you’re stacking and your other heroes. If you’re bringing a blue/green 3-2 comp against a buff heavy raid defense, but you’re bringing Gandalf Melendor, you don’t really need to bring dispeller Sonya too, so she can be druid for that flank Neith. You can change her pretty much at any time, and generally speaking the pathways are pretty similar, so you’re not sacrificing much either way.
It depends on the situation, how you’re stacking, and what you have.
