Really! what the heck! – Bullcrap007's feedback and discussion on Raiding

I’m curious: have you tried reading and following any of the raiding advice people have been giving you over the past few months?

Here goes my broken record again but I love this guide …

I raid a lot and I have never known or even noticed this:
Tip #10: Watch your opponent’s mana gauges and turns till attack
If an enemy hero is going to attack next turn and its mana gauge is very close to being full, likely that hero is going to attack two turns in a row unless you do something about it. If the special attack is inevitable, you’re better off attacking that hero with what you’ve got on the board to fill the heroes’ mana gauge. This way, that hero will attack only once.
is that the case? do they actually skip their slash attack?

I don’t think the problem is with the game treating you unfair, I think the problem lies with your strategy… Want to win raids? Get TC13 running a.s.a.p., get some stronger 4* heroes, level them up and start stacking colors. You need at least three maxed 4* in every color so that you can at any time stack 3/2 against the tank, in order to successfully raid your way up to diamond arena. Get to this level and then the enemy you face won’t make much difference, you’ll be able to defeat any team that crosses your path. You say you were a fighter! So stop complaining and do something about it! If we all can do it, so can you! Good luck!

Hello everyone
I’ll go strait to the point I don’t like raids!!!
I’ve set up a pretty good def. Team and I’m facing a lot of teams way above my pay grade.
My bench isn’t that deep on strong heroes, mainly because I’m still levelling them.
When i go on revenge raids i pick opponents that i feel i might have a shoot at winning, hope for decent boards, set up the best team i can and go for it.
Some time after 2 or 3 try i win, other not.
I don’t like raids!!!

@Wolf9 I know the feeling. Raiding is very frustrating early on in the game. At first I only raided to finish the provinces in season 1. Otherwise, not interested. I tried a few revenges and generally lost. For the first 6 months or so playing I actually had more titan kills than raid wins.

Now I have a fairly deep bench and I raid and fill the chest every day. It’s become a challenge now instead of a frustration.

Hang in there and persevere, like a fine wine it improves with age.

Thank you for the encouragements ,
Some time i get lucky, just went and took some revenges and won, mainly because, i was able to use some deficiency on the other teams, being able to double stack with my stronger teams, and some decent boards made the difference.
I still dont like raids !!!

There are enough other things to do in the game that you can enjoy playing without raiding.

Yep.

This is also a useful strategy when the enemy’s special firing will be less dangerous than them attacking.

A common example is when you have a hero on your team who may die from a slash attack, and are facing an enemy healer who’s about to attack, and is close enough to charged that you can feed them tiles to force them to fire. In that situation, it can be useful to feed the enemy healer, particularly if it’ll buy you time to use your healer, or fire an impactful special skill before one of your near-dead heroes is killed.

They don’t skip the slash attack. They’ll get it the following turn. So they still attack twice in a row in that scenario.

they do. I checked it - enemy hero had 1 turn slash attack left and almost full mana, so I dropped some tiles on him to make him full mana. he used his special next turn and had 2 turns till slash attack.

Just because that is their defense team doesn’t mean that is their strongest heros… They could be tanking on purpose to get easier raids to fill up wanted chest faster.

I’ve posted previously how much I hated raids. I can finally say that I’m actually enjoying them now. Something I NEVER thought I’d say. I’m trying new combos and colour stacking and seeing how far I can push my rainbow team.

When I do revenge raids I keep trying to succeed, not because I’m angry about being attacked or trying to be vindicated, simply because if something doesn’t work I want to figure out why.

My husband and I were talking about how the game has ebb and flows. It’s a lot of fun at the beginning and then gets very frustrating in the middle (around the 3500 power). It seems like your game gets stuck, you can’t raid, can’t get ascension items, and you just want to rage quit.

If you persevere, there is a good chance you’ll get over that hump. You may start getting some better heroes, you’ll eventually improve your skills and strength so raids/quests/missions become a bit easier.

Unfortunately, we’ve also seen long-term players reach a point where they are no longer enjoying it. We’ve been playing for over 18 months and luckily we enjoy it as much as we did in the beginning (not like in the middle LOL).

BWAHAHA truth hurts lol

Color stack 3-2 against the tank when you raid. Personally I go mono but 3-2 is safer. I currently have 2652 trophies but that goes up and diw.

What is wrong with this game? The Raids aren’t even dumb anymore. Their just comical now! It’s hilarious watching myself lose to weaker players the first round because the game only gives me one or two matches before every player on their team takes a turn. It’s sad. Then, the hilarious part, is rematching and winning. Except now, I’ve already lost 50 points the first match and only get 20 on the rematch. Here are players I’ve lost to that, in no way, could beat me in the first place.

I can see why people quit this game and then bad mouth it to other people which is hurting their possible gains. And this can be fixed but no one cares too and all I hear from anyone is, The game doesn’t cheat, or, get threatened that my game could be deleted.

You have almost every color represented on your offense. And you’re not fighting an all GM and Kageburado lineup. So surely you’re getting several matches or a couple of long cascades before any of the defenders activate their specials

That said: despite a fair amount of advice from others , it looks like you’re still not adapting the offense you bring to the defenses you face.

For instance, when you bring two green heroes but only one blue hero to fight a red tank, you’re in for a bad fight.

Likewise when you bring two green heroes but only one slow yellow hero against a purple tank, it’s going to be a tough fight.

Why are you bringing that same team against every defense you fight? You will have much better chances if you adapt what you bring to the defense.

Why even try anymore, he clearly doesn’t listen to advise. I am really beginning to think that he is trolling by posting the same thing over and over again with the same complaints.

Or maybe just posting to vent his anger, not reading any reply… I like raiding because team composition is so imporant you can defeat teams with way more TP, and that is what the OPer is experiencing obviously…
