No. You have to be there before it spawns. At least that is my understanding.

I heard that this is the way it should be, o also heard that even though they said they fixed it, that it isnt fixed. I have no direct experience
There is a chance u get a 4*. Just not the bonus one for that specific titan. Exmp. We once had a Harpy, friend dropped by later, stayed for loot and got a Tome of Tactics.

I got a scope from a blunicorn after it appeared way back but haven’t tested myself in quite awhile so idk if it ever actually got fixed or not. I know at that point in time it was supposed to be fixed and it was the bonus drop since it appeared at the far right side of my loot after everything else.
Idk if i still have the screenshot but do think i reported it to this forum when it happened
