I am trying to set up a new defense team, since I just pulled Guinevere during the Avalon Event Summon.
My aim is to build a defense team for raid best suited around Guinevere.
At the moment, my defense team is unable to let me stay at upper diamond tier, I use to stay around 2450/2500 cups, while I would like to move over 2600 cups.
The team I was planning to build for raid defense is the following:
I would lose Costume Rigard and install another hitter…
I would probably go for a Yurple centre to make use of the natural yellow-purple resistances.
I would suggest: Zimkitha - Seshat - Guinevere - Sartana - Magni
The emblem conflict between sartana and Guin isn’t ideal… but I assume you have enough wizard emblems to take Guin to about +7 or so? You can also strip sartana to pump Guin full of emblems & come back to sartana later.
If you do strip the emblems from Sartana I think that Victor is a better unemblemed flank… So would run: Zimkitha - Seshat - Guinevere - Victor - Magni
Hi Guvnor,
I am able to take Guin to +7 with emblems but Sartana would arrive at around +3 and I think is not so effective.
I think Guin should be pumped full of emblems and maybe come back to Sartana later.
As far as Victor is concerned here are the two cards compared:
Victor has lower defense and slightly lower HP but far higher tile damage…then he is very fast with mana…and provides the whole team with +30% defense buff … I guess he could be the one to flank Guin together with Seshat?
leave sartana at +9 and put remaining emblems onto Guinevere
strip emblems from sartana and put allll onto Guinevere.
If you do option 1) I would say to keep sartana at flank.
If you do option 2) I would say to use Victor at flank. Main reason is at very fast defence buff & stackable DoT (plus damage) will be of a bigger pain (imo) than the sniping damage from Fast Sartana.
Ok man,
I will try this and I will let you know.
Now Guin is still growing up…4/22 and hopefully in a few days I should be able to emblem her (according to ham and iron availability ).
As mentioned above, a rule of thumb is to have weak colors next to strong so that they charge from the “tile splash” so flanking purple next to Guinevere, for example, is generally a good idea.
Why would you like to stay at 2600~ cups? My opinion is that it only would make it harder to fill your raid chest. I’m sorry but I just don’t understand this. I’m also sorry if this comes across as being negative.
I am doubtful if either leveling up Kadilen or not for the only reason that she shares emblems with Zimkitha so…she is supposed to get none of them in the near future.
And Kadilen with no emblems I think is too weak to have a role in a good defense team.
Am I mistaking?
joppe your opinion is welcomed exactly as much as any any other one coming from players of this forum and I thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.
As for what you say, I am thinking about top players and top allys…where many players are far above 2600.
Well I know some of them and I have not been reported by them of any difficulty with raid chests whatsover.
Would you please explain to me what do you mean?
The aim of most players of the game is to reach the top 100 board…and you can achieve that only raising up your cups…exactly trying to let your ally reach that board implies that also medium value of cups of all members is high…together with Titans and war performance.
Circe I perfectly know there are stronger tanks now than Guin but she still remains one of the strongest ones and, in addition to that, Guin is the only “tank” I got in the game so…why shouldn’t I put efforts to let her be as strongest as possible?
With Drake Fong and Elkanen in center position, my only viable replacements before Guin, my rate of wins in raid defense is around 30%.
An unemblemed Sartana will not affect the effectiveness of any mono team I would build…but an unemblemed Guin would not be so much useful.
These are my two cents about that.
I do apologise if that came across as offensive. Your defense TP is in my raiding bracket and I was looking at your heroes with the lens of who would trouble me the most as an attacker. Guin wouldn’t, but I do recognise that’s a function of my personal roster and game style. It wasn’t my intent to offend, just give a different perspective. I’ll delete my earlier post as it wasn’t helpful to the discussion
Circe none of your words were offensive at all.
Why do you say so? I do appreciate you to share your thoughts with me. I was only underlining my point of view on defense.
As I said…I only have Guin as a real tank…and apart from Telluria…even if nerfed…Guin remains the strongest tank in my opinion so…logic says that all ways to let her be as strongest as possible are suggestable.
