RAGE NO MORE spending guide U.S. players

So the most common complaint in this game will always be I spent x amount of dollars and got nothing screw SG and its cheer leaders!!

This guide is for FTP/C2P as those P2W guys wont care. After a year and a half of play our alliance members have put together a spending guide to help players get what they need and make sure to not feel as bad when they don’t.

1- for just under $200 dollars per year. this is v.i.p. all year (49.99) and purchase of 19.99 special deal with 3k gems every other month.

this will garuntee you 3x10 spin on a few events per year/or a few 30 pulls on Atlantis.

A lot of newer players feel the need to rush and get heroes not yet understanding the time needed to level them, your base, and farming of necessary ascension items. Using this guide as a starting point you should be able to
have a halfway decent roster at the end of year one.

IF you hit the jack pot early on a spin on the event, save the rest of your gems to either purchase a loot ticket bundle for time saving or to purchase emblems for cheap as they cost gems and not cash.

now If you add in purchasing the 2.99 event gems some of the .99 deals or the 2 week long specials during seasonal events, they have a list of items for good prices each day, u can still stay under $200 for the year and have everything you need to progress at a regular pace. That total is less than $20 per month or a whopping 5 dollars per week If you break that down.

if you can afford 5 dollars per week, that’s less than two gallons of gas in most cities, you should grow a healthy roster and this should not lead to anymore of the rage posts i see regularly.

I have used this budget since month 8 of gameplay after chasing a hero and feeling super salty about it, and now, I just shake off bad rolls and wait till the next time because all events come back around. With previous HOTM added to Atlantis that sting of not getting a hero is slightly abated.

A team of over 15 players calculated these numbers and found this to be the most stress free guide to continued fun and success in E&P.

hope this helps some players ESTABLISH and easily attainable budget.

As always thank you for your time.

Do you know where someone can see when they actually started (as in created an gameplay account on E&P) to play? I can see when I joined the forum on smallgiantgames but not the actual E&P game.

go to your Google play account check your achievements see when you completed the tutorial

What do you mean by 3x10 spin and 4x30 pulls?..I can’t figure this out mathematically. One Atlantis 10 pull costs 3,000 gems. 4x30=12,000 gems! Is this per month or every couple of months? This doesn’t figure out for me. My brain hurts :persevere:

This looks like quite a good way to look at effective, manageable spending @DoctorStrange :+1:

A couple of caveats, perhaps

  • It is possible to play completely free and still enjoy a lot of success. Albeit I completely accept it’s a lot of time and chance plays a bigger role.

  • This spending guide is probably quite US-orientated in it’s assumptions of affordability. Quite a few other countries have different exchange rates, taxes and average incomes. It doesn’t make your guide wrong, but $5 means different things to different people :slightly_smiling_face:

I really like this point. We often see posts by new big spenders who have too many multiples and will then spend years, or more money, chasing mats.

It’s also possible to have been spending, and then decide it’s enough. You have supported the game, You continue to support the game via MV.

My personal experience is that the desire to do pulls is like my desire to eat sugar. If I’ve had a lot of sweet things routinely I find myself craving it. Whereas if I take a break from it then it could be an occasional treat without any mood swings… or not

When you get really mad, take a break

It’s really hard to take a full break from the game because of constantly feeling like we’re falling behind if we miss too much WE, miss filling chests, miss a trial, miss a rare quest, miss wars. But I’m guessing that would be a healthy option too, from time to time. At least for me.

the / was either or not both you have to count the amount of the monthly gems from your v.i.p added to the amount of gems you purchased. A 30 pull in Atlantis is 8k gems
not 12k
Also we did forget the currency exchange rate in other countries and this was a U.S. spending guide thnx Jonah

I think this is a good starting point

I doubt any spending guide will ever be made to suit or satisfy everyone. There will always be exceptions and the “what about me” players. Just way of the world.

Canada, austrailia and probly some of Europe would probly the easiest to make side by side conversions of this guide. As those economies aren’t in the toilet, they just have a lower currency value than the US.

If you get into countries that are pretty bad off economically, it’ll just become one giant debate after another and you’ll see the same emotions the guide wanted to help squash.

So I’d probly just leave it as is, anyone that wants to convert currency or figure out how to get the same results while managing their own finances that suit their economic status can do that with this guide as a starting point

Good advice btw and think it’s right along the lines of what I’ve typically advised people spending since at one time i was pretty conservative myself. Glad somebody put it together and gave players a step by step to smart spending

Thank you very much. After mulling and figuring for a couple hrs now, I finally think I’ve got it.

There’s a 30 pull in Atlantis!?! Never noticed…never had that many gems. I always worked toward the 10 pull. That certainly makes a difference!

And so I now understand what a 4x30 pull is.

Darn! That hurt my brain. I’ve gotta go take a nap

Lol, yes like almost double.

79.99 AU

46.99 Au

A couple of weeks ago was the 200 gems for 1.99 US but 3.99 AU

Some of these differences aren’t currency exchange rate differences at all. SG must think Ozy’s are richer than most, lol.

I guess, taxes are the answer.

Just to break down the math - this would guarantee you 10,950 from the VIP and 18,000 from the six 3k purchases, for a total of 28,950. The VIP total assumes that you don’t miss a day.

Four Atlantis 30 pulls @ 8,500 each would be 34,000 gems, meaning there’s a gap of 5,050.

Twelve seasonal/event 10 pulls @ 2,600 each would be 31,200 gems, meaning there’s a gap of 2,250.

So you would still need to be actively farming gems at a pretty decent pace to hit those marks, but it’s certainly doable. I saved up enough for a (disappointing) Atlantis 10 pull in my first few months of playing (i.e. when I didn’t have a lot of experience or heroes for more difficult content). I haven’t saved at quite that same rate since then, though I’ve made some single pulls here and there at events, a couple of continues, and I increased my roster size, so I’ve still been pulling in around 400-500 gems a month, which easily covers that gaps mentioned above.

10% GST if they do pay it,
but 19.99 US works out to about 30 dollars AU plus 10% GST is 33 not 46 dollars.

Same goes with the rest. 1.99 US is around 3.00AU plus GST doesn’t come to 3.99 AU.

In general I like that foresighted approach. I have been more the “uhh nice, I WANT Seshat - I NEED Alby/Aegir/Ariel” type with overspending then, I’ve cut my spending now to VIP and sometimes the ~1€ things.

But I think budgeting like this might be a good solution for me. Just have to figure out what offer is what in €

the price guide does not say 12 event pulls says a total of 4 different months you can do 3×10 spins. you would have 8700 gems every three months. you shouldn’t have to use all three each time if you learn to quit when you are ahead which is also stated here 900x3 is 2700 and 3k x2 Is 6k. that’s 8700 per 3 months with just those purchases. our main goal was to stay around 200 per year which is 50 every three months give or take.

Can you explain the difference? They’re both equal to 12 10-pulls. There are nine events to choose from, so if I’m only pulling from four of them, I’m going to miss out on the other five. The guide should leave it to the player to decide when to spend those twelve 10-pulls. (Though technically the 5* odds at the seasonal summons are much worse than the challenge events, so the optimal approach might be to use gems at the five challenge events and EHTs at the four seasonals.)

And then it’s going to be 900 x 3 + 3000 x 1 for the next three months, which is only 5,700, because the guide instructs you to make a:

so over the course of a year, you’re going to buy one deal every three months twice, and you’re going to buy two deals every three months twice, for a total of six deals per year, or one deal every other month.

This does not guarantee you the number of pulls you stated for $169.93 USD.

However, if you go with the higher number of $200, then yes, you could guarantee 2x30 pulls at Atlantis and 6x10 seasonal/event pulls just from the purchased gems.

I’m trying to help you communicate your ideas to the forum clearly - I think it’s good to help people learn how to set a budget and understand what they’re getting for their money. But there are things that could be stated better. In the guide, you state,

but in your response to me, you state,

So in one place, you’re telling me to spend my extra gems (assuming I get a good pull) on other things, and then in another place, you’re telling me to save the gems if I get lucky, so that I can do another pull in three months. But in either case, you’re assuming that I get lucky, when part of the reason you put this guide together was because

Please don’t take this as an attack, I’m just saying that I’ve had enough bad luck with summons and I’ve seen enough bad luck with summons posted to the forum that I don’t think a guide should assume good luck in order to make the numbers work out. On average, across every summon done at Atlantis, four 30-pulls is going to give you 1-2 classic 5*, 1-2 Atlantis 5*, and 1-2 HOTM.

you are trying to take a very nice post that thoroughly lets the users decide when to spend said amounts of gems, as players will cover different heroes, so what amounts to purchase just gets them to the amount they need to have. if they hoard them all for one event of massive pulls if they wanted but breaking it down gives them the best chance at pulling from each area not one specific hero.

if they land a massive score on an event have left over gems to purchase say a 1000 loot tickets and works energy flacks would be an investment if getting g materials to help speed the leveling of nice heroes one has recieved.

as I said this is a GUIDE not a garuntee of anything and a person can take the guide and tweak it to what benefits them, but following this same guide I have the roster I have at a fraction of the cost I hear of people spending thus I’m not as frustrated when I have a bad set of spins cause I stick to the budget and have found it to be satisfying and less stressful that what I have seen from other players.

Not sure what your stance is or what it is you are looking for because attacking a stated GUIDE doesnt make much sense to me and whatever you use personally I hope it works for you. for people with limited means and want to explore, we hope you find this useful as we can show the rosters of the people who have used it and you can decide what you think for yourself based on actual collected data from other players.

I’m looking for the numbers to add up as stated. They don’t.
