My current Raid DEFENSE team:
Alberich(+6), Sonya(+19), Poseidon (+8), Domitia (+7), Zim(+3)
I only had two different Paladins (Sonya / Cyprian), so I put all my Paladin emblems on Sonya to bring her to Talent level 19.
Well I just landed Richard and I feel he might fit in well on my main team (maybe use him as center tank and push Poseidon out to flank).
When I max Richard, should I drain Sonya of her emblems (take the 5% penalty) and give them all to Richard? (right now I only have 8 Paladin emblems)

So I do have a Reset emblem - but I was under the assumption that reset emblems still cost you 5% emblems but keep you from having to spend gems - But I see now that they actually recoup 100% emblems.

Alberich-Zim-Richard-Domitia-Poseidon could be a nice defence team (Domitia being the weakest link).
If I were you, I would give all emblems you get from now on to Richard and remove the emblems from Sonya when you get a reset emblem so that you don’t lose any emblems.
As a general rule, it’s a good idea to give emblems to key 4* heroes (e.g. Falcon). However, since Sonya is not among the top 5 4* heroes and you already have a 5* dispeller, Richard should get the emblems.
I’m in a similar situation. All my paladin emblems are on Sonya, but I’m currently maxing Thorne with the idea of moving him to tank. I will be resetting Sonya to get those emblems for Thorne. I have a reset emblem, though.
So I also have Proteus (+17) - I was rolling with him for a while (in place of Dom) but I noticed Dom had better results on defense. Actually - I’ll go ahead and edit my post to show what I have
Not really. I’m F2P, and Thorne is my only blue legendary and certainly my best paladin. (I also have a Thorne dupe.) Would I prefer Richard? Yeah, but I don’t have him and may never have him. Or I may draw him tomorrow. Who knows?
I’ve done a lot of reading about Thorne, and some experienced players say he isn’t so bad after his v. 20 buff. (Plenty still hate him, too.) Yes, he should have a secondary effect added, but that may never happen. Maybe with costumes, but again, I may never draw his costume either. I’m gonna play the hand I’m dealt.
If you decide to give emblems to Thorne, go for the attack path. If you combine him with attack buffer (Kiril/Boldtusk) and defence debuffer (Grimm), he will become a hard hitter.
My advice is to take Thorne to 3-70 and max him when you have 10+ telescopes. Your best bet would be to run a few TC20s and hope for another blue 5* in the meantime.
By the way, I’m also FTP. My first 5* was Elkanen and I got him after 9 months of playing. He’s still sitting at 3-70. I now have Lianna, Kadilen and Margaret maxed and enough tonics to take Elk to 4-80 but I still don’t want to max him.
Elk is only good on defence in AW with field aid and on offence with Evelyn who I don’t have. I have a second Lianna who is going to get the tonics.
P.S. I think the defence team I previously suggested is the best one for now. Proteus can also be threat but the emblemed Domitia is the better choice, imho.
Too late. Already gave him the scopes, but I still have 3 left, so I was pretty close to having 10 anyway. He’s at 4^37 at the moment. I’ve been running 2 TC 20s almost continually since reaching SH 20. Landed 2 Thornes, 2 Domitias, Azlar, Leonidas, and Vivica. Also summoned Poseidon (only maxed legendary), Onatel, and Ranvir. So I’m working toward a rainbow legendary defense team. And FWIW, I’d give tonics to your Elkanen and not bat an eye.
