Not even for the first 1000ā¦ My challenge team is always 2-1-1-1. And at legendary I have the best performances, finishing in the first 200 at every event.

Guess Iāll start working on a mono team for events. Is red best, especially now that Grimforest is done?

Youāre welcome! And yes, I never reran those three Stages after that, those were my final scores.
Red has the most convenient synergy in Epic and Legendary because of Boldtusk/Lancelot (attack buff), Wilbur (shared damage and defense debuff), Falcon (elemental defense debuff across 3 enemies), and Scarlett/Colen (high attack and able to hit all enemies).
No other color has all of those skills in 4*, plus red generally has high attack stats, and Challenge Events also have a bizarrely large amount of green monsters ā all of which are reasons why red is often a preferred color for mono Challenge Event teams.
In Rare red can work well too because of the heavy hitting fast snipers. Nashgar used to be a favorite for many people until Namahage and Squire Wabbit came along. I also really like Rudolph, as I mentioned above.
Red is a good go-to option for everything but Grimforest, but itās certainly possible to put together mono teams in other colors too, depending on which heroes you have. Iāve personally run every color at some point, depending on the Challenge Event and tier ā but Emblems and laziness are increasingly pushing me to use my red team for Epic and Legendary at least, since I have Emblems on all of Boldtusk, Wilbur, Falcon, Scarlett and Colen.

I also take 3-2 teams because i lack a good mono team but could only reach 25 k in rare.
Yeah for rare. Since bosses were blue and purple a number of times I recall using Melia, Gan Ju, Bane, Belith, Brienne. Iād do some kind of 3-2 stack against boss colors, as they varied. That team was good though.
I did replay some stages but largely couldnāt top my first pass. I use pretty minimal items btw.

Well done then. I have to rethink my strategy then or iām doing some thing wrong. With same teamlike heroes i managed to have place 25k. Next event i like to place in the top 10k.
Did you replay stages as well? I would usually bring small health, small mana, axes, and arrows. Try for big combos and youāre better off finishing weak enemies with items and saving a big combo for fresh wave or for bosses. Use mana to power up your attack boosters before a big combo too.
Oh and my troops were level 1

I replayed a few. The least ones. Still i have to improve a lot i think.
Anyway, iāll try to redo it next event.
Read that healing with potions can make a diff as well. Iāll do that the next time as well.

Wanted Puss who would be perfect replacement for Pixie, but Snow White is great too. With family bonus Red Hood is a tank beast.
With manatroop+16 and +2 from skill tree she speeds up too on defense.

So I am limited on my heroesāIām a casual player (note the months-long absence in replies) so I canāt exactly pick and choose and tailor my team to the final bosses. Iām saying that a final level that destroys a fully-leveled four-star team with a minimum of +4 on any given hero is perhaps a little overdoneābasically, if you donāt have a fully stocked load of four-star heroes to choose from so you can tailor a team specifically to your bosses, you canāt win.

While this might be mostly true there are exceptions. Proteus being the exception. There are a few others costumed rigard, wilbur, etc. Certain 4* heroes can be huge game changers in events.
Also there is the nuclear option. Lots of items used in mass can push you through boss levels that otherwise seem unbeatable.
It is just laziness and giving up to say āI donāt have the heroesā. #f2prebellion. Lets find another way.

Wow, I just looked at my post saying how I struggled with Epic and Legendary,
I canāt wait to do this again now, because my roster is better and I HOPE, I have learned a lot more. For example on this my Proteus was ONLY 3/60, now I have 2 at maximum, with one at +18 emblems lol.
I have 2x Hansel max. This should be (hopefully I wonāt jinx myself) much easier

What do you do when you have every grimforest hero but the one you really want and itās actually like the hardest hero to summon?
To Redhood or To Not Redhood, that is the questionā¦
At the time I wrote this, I only had six five-star heroes: Kunchen, Leonidas, Athena, Horghall, Marjana, and King Arthur. Everyone is fully ascended except Arthur, and Iām probably a few weeks away from having them fully leveled still (only Athena, Horghall, and Marjana are all the way).
My four-star lineup at the time had Cyprian, Li Xiu, Kiril, Boril, Skittleskull, BoldTusk, Hu Tao, Kashrek, Colen, the Cheshire Cat, and Merlināand only about 75% of them were fully ascended and leveled. I had multiples of all of them.
I have since (finally) picked up Caedmon, Rigard, Melendor, Wu Kong, Wilbur, Sabina, Tiburtus, Chao, Gadeirus, Little John, Gormek, and Sonya on the four-star side, and Elena, Sartana, and Kadilen on the five-star side. In the past two weeks Iāve had a weird run of five-star luck in TC20, and got two more Marjanas, another Leonidas, Thorne, Isarnia, and Richard. All of these guys need leveling and ascension. Iāve leveled up enough of them to put together six 3k+ rainbow war teams, but I donāt have a lot of room to pick and choose for each fight.

@roo1138 Very glad to hear your roster is growing. I have been on a strange run of TC 20 5 star luck too. Got Joon, Elena, and a few others out of one. I Am happy that they are deciding to show up as I have the mats on my main for one 5 star holy, a 5 star ice, and two to three 5 star reds.
Is Grimble worth leveling to counter Puss and Red Hoodās minions?
