Need Help Choosing Which Herose to Focus On

Hi all! First time posting. I was leveling up my main heroes that make up my Defense Team, but I was using them for everything. It’s a team made up of Drake Fong, Khagan, Kiril, Cyprian, and Melendor.

After reading stuff online (mostly on these forums) I became aware of switching teams around for different challenges/events/titans, what color stacking is, and how Alliance War works.

Now I just don’t know who to level up. I have several 5 stars of each color (was spending quite a bit of money at first), but I don’t know who I should focus on first. Currently, I’m working on getting Drake maxed (he is at 4/67 right now).

I guess, I don’t know which heroes would synergize and work well together of the heroes that I have, so I’m not sure who should take priority. Here is my list of five stars (some of the heroes that are considered very good I only recently drew, hence their low level compared to others):

I also have some good 4 stars as well, and think I should include them since I’m wondering about team building and synergy. I just worry about making the post too long:

I have lots of emblems but don’t know if I should wait to use them on my 5 stars or not. As an example, I was thinking of spending my fighter emblems on Delilah, but I can’t ascend her yet (need more darts). So should I use them on Boldtusk?

Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give as much info as seemed warranted.

How are you with ascension materials for the 5 stars? 4/70 4* are often better than 3/70 5*. If you are lacking mats for the 5 stars, then better to work on 4 stars.

I would suggest finishing all the heroes you already have, then do a few 4* while waiting for mats for the 5 *.

Assuming same color feeding - ca pri list, but order depends on mats situation
Red: Wilbur, Marjana, QoH, Gormek, Red Hood, Azlar - wait with giving mats to Khagan
Blue: Frida to 3/70 because of elemental debuff, Triton, Misandra, Grimm, Magni, Richard, Captain
Green: Evelyn (elemental debuff), Hansel, Kashrek
Yellow: Delilah, Joon, Vivica, Gretel, Li, Onatel
Purple: Proteus, Merlin, Kunchen, Sartana

Emblems should go to the heroes you use most, but you might not yet know yet what fits your playstyle. You could wait and gather them for now. To the time you get to have 15 maxed 4/70+ heroes you’ll understand your needs better.

I put mine on my war defence team and utility heroes I use for titans and raids a lot.

For the five stars, I have enough to ascend 1 of each color except Yellow. For yellow I need 3 more darts. For my blue heroes, I can ascend Richard once I level him up, but I can’t ascend Magni or Misandra, as I am missing the Compass.

For Emblems, I have over 100 of most, but I don’t know what my final teams will look like. I like minions, which is why I was leveling Delilah. But I did notice what others talk about which is the time delay during titan battles. I also pulled Joon and Vivica recently and didn’t know then who I should work on.

Do you have suggestions for what a good Defense Team might look like out of these heroes? I’ve been able to stay in Platinum consistently with Melendor/Drake Fong/Cyprian/Khagan/Kiril. But Khagan and Drake are so high level because they were the five stars I got early on. It doesn’t seem Khagan is well liked.

It’s funny, I just used Proteus and Merlin for the first time in a Titan battle and I thought “Hmm… those are very useful abilities”, so I’m not surprised to see them on your list for the purples.

These guys need the same mats. If you can ascend a blue 5*, then Frida, Magni and Misandra are in strong competition. Maybe Frida to 3/70, and Magni to 4/80 first.

I would recommend to wait, reset emblems are rare and you loose the resources and some of the emblems in the process. You don’t loose much at your current level with waiting. You’ll understand your playstyle better in a few weeks.

Delilah, Joon and Vivica all all great. Joon is the second best sniper in the game, Delilah is a good healer and tanky. Vivica 5* dispeller and healer.

I doubt that Cyprian would be able to keep you in Diamond. But you could try Caed Drake Cyp Kiril Kage and see if that performs any better. I often prioritise titan heroes over defense, simply because titan givs mats while defence gives “only” cups and pride. Which doesn’t mean it’s not fun, just it’s less important for growth.

Merlin requires some practice, but he is useful both for titans and against big bosses in events.

Regarding Misandra, I haven’t really been impressed. How is she supposed to be used? Her mana bump seems so minimal. With regards to your overall suggestion, I’ll start leveling up Frida and once I get a compass I’ll use it on her.

Delilah I’m just waiting to ascend so right now she’s just sitting there (can’t level any higher). Joon and Vivica are both at 1st level, but I’ll start on them as well. I guess that means Drake Fong isn’t that impressive huh? He’s fast and makes bad guys miss so I like him.

I maxed Cyprian because he was one of my first four stars, but I’m not married to using him. I was in diamond for a little bit but couldn’t stay there consistently. So you don’t think I need a red hero in my defense team?

Raiding was one of the first things I learned to do, and I do it to satisfy the requirements for the rewards (beat 40 enemies). I attack titans and participate in wars every time I can. I’m typically the top attacker in my alliance, but there’s only like 30 members and the other members aren’t very active. We haven’t gone beyond 3 star titans, and I’d say Alliance War is about 50/50. I’m trying though :).

She has high attack and high defence stat when maxed. Good combo for defence team.

5* healer, can’t go wrong here. Joon is very good, I would rank Vivica third of your yellow 5*. Joon has the same blind as Drake. Drake is very alright, just not a gamechanger.

He is an ok tank for now, Delilah will be better.

Defence team should be rainbow, no color doubling, especially not on tank color. But in your case Kage is so much better and higher level than Khagan, so I though it’s worth a try.

I also like raiding. Filling your raid chest depends on your attack team, not on the raid defence. Raid defence team keeps your cups high.

Looking at that image, I can’t even imagine getting my troops up to level 30. Holy crap that has to be resource intensive!

Circling back to your suggestions for leveling up, I see that you mentioned Triton. I had wondered if his buff to heal would be something I could implement into a team. Is it the buff to heal that is important here or the fast sniping? Just looked him up… is it the 720 attack stat?

I’ve been leveling Proteus, Frida, and Wilbur as you’ve suggested so far. I have the compasses to ascend some of the heroes, but not sure who to prioritize; Marjana, Queen of Hearts, Magni, Misandra. I participate in raids, wars, and titan battles, so I’m not sure who is best where.

Lol, me neither. Zero is the leader of a top alliance, most people never get that high in troops.

Triton is fast, and highest tile damage of the 4* blues, his special helps team survivability. Group him with Kiril and Frida and you have a very good base against red titans and red tanks.

Titan damage and war wins bring you mats to level your heroes, so I would prioritise offensive and utility heroes for maxing titan/war damage. If you need to choose between Marjana, QoH, Magni or Misandra, then Magni or Marjana would be better.

In game chat doesn’t allow pm and finding someone outside of your alliance is painful. Many people use Line chat app or Discord app for off game communication. I use both, but mostly Line, my Line ID is silver_dragon-r
