[Master] ❤ Friendly Matches -- Feedback & Discussion Thread

Off the back of this feature we have lost an alliance member who had been playing the game for 3 years.

The limit on friendly raids to 5 per day and monetization of the refill was a step too far for him.

Must admit though, we have all been having fun…members are requesting defense team set ups to attack and try out offensive combos…

I think we should be able to fight anyone!
E.g. klick on any player on any list e.g. top 100 and battle…

Happy gaming

Really? He was able to play the game for 3 years without that Friendly Matches feature but when it was really implemented already, he can’t wait for the next day for it to be refilled? Can’t believe it.

I had a similar thought process. The alliance member quit over a feature that has no impact on any aspect of the game other than practice. Seems like a “fake because” to me.

I say he is just burned out of the game. Friendly Matches is a nice new feature, providing players the option to hit ally defenses and provide feedback on it. I hope they will tweak something out of it, enhancing the player experience. Inshallah !!

He was getting frustrated with the pop-ups and the expense chasing blue heroes (he got his first blue 5* 3 months ago) and, yes really, this was his final straw!

As he said to the team, it is sad that SG need to monetize a QOL feature by building in a payment mechanism after 5 battles.

I’ve been frustrated with the game too, can’t seem to get a good titan booster like tarlak, miki, or gazelle and still using wu. It makes me angry with all I’ve spent which isn’t a fortune but shouldn’t have to spend a fortune to have fun and be competitive either.

Just sounds like a toys out the pram moment to me. 5 hits a day is plenty, it’s fun and after 5 no part of me has said “this is a total outrage, how dare they stop me from hitting my friends until tomorrow”

I mean there’s plenty to get annoyed about…but friendly matches??? The dude/dudette needs to take a chill pill.

Everyone is different @Cheds, I believe his “chill pill” is leaving the game behind and getting on with his life.

I am sure this is his way to change it up…

Why? It literally does nothing. I asked my alliance how many tried it. About half had. Of those who tried it, how many would use it regularly? All of them said once was enough. So the community decided to have SGG make something that has really no in game benefit I guess? People say it’s good practice. If you’re raiding & taking part in wars regularly you’re already getting practice. Yeah, I tried it once, see no reason to ever bother with it again too.

I think it depends on your alliance. Mine is pretty competitive and it’s been fun going at tough defences with teams you might not normally use.

One of my favourite things is trying Off Colour Attacks. So I’ll take my blue-mono to a green tank or a Purple mono to a purple tank. If nothing else it’s good practice,

Want to try some quirky teams out? Friendly matches let you pick the weird and wacky with no risks to your main game. I want to fill a raid chest from 8 hits, anymore is inefficient so it’s rare I have spare flags for goofing around. Again, friendlies let you do this.

So for a vast amount of us this a great feature

I suspect we should be able to test the different raid formations later amongst our alliance with friendly battles? (When new raid formations goes live?)

The raid formations could become points of discussion amongst alliance mates.

My alliance didn’t even know it existed until I told them about it. Was there any announcement even because I didn’t see one, I just happened to notice the “Battle” button and wondered what it was. I honestly think very few people are going to care about it if they did bother to notice it. Since there’s no in game reward it’ll get boring pretty fast.

There was, it was in the release notes which were published / forced out into the game under the “more information” bit if people chose to investigate.

It’s the only real way to get direct feedback on what works with your defense team. My alliance records videos of us attacking each other and we can switch heroes in and out and see what difference it makes.

It’s done a lot to make our alliance, which is really casual, more active with each other. It’s just really, really cool for us.

Yeah hopefully it will allow us to test out different formations and stuff too.

This will give alliance members more to talk about

If limited to 5 flags a day, the flags should stack to enable weekly friendly tournament or war defense preparation for exemple

I’m enjoying it. Win or lose it’s a lot fun.
