Marjana or QoH

Hi everybody, first post here. I looked up some Threads on Marjana and QoH respectively, but couldn’t find one comparing exactly those two. And Queen of Hearts isn’t even ranked in Anchor guide yet.

Until the recent Wonderland event, Marjana was my only 5* hero. I have her leveled to 3/70 and was missing only one more Mystic Ring. Marjana is a solid 5* and I was sure to level her to max when I get that last ring…
Then I got QoH in an event pull. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy. But I kinda wish it was another color because now I can’t decide which one to go for. I thought I would know by the time I get the last ring, but I don’t, so I’m here :')

Here is a list of my current ascension items and my roster. Since team composition/synergy is an important factor. And also my current ascension materials, so it’s assessable which of my newer and currently unleveled heroes could be max leveled in the near future.
And although my main question is concerning Marjana and QoH, I appreciate any tips/suggestion on which other of my heroes to focus on. I only had three 4*'s a short while ago and suddenly got so many from a chain of pulls as well as my TC20 bearing fruits.

Current Roster:

Current Ascension Mats:

A minus for QoH. Since she is still Tier 2 and I only have 5 Hidden Blades going for her would require additional patience to collect 3 more Hidden Blades.

I hope this is enough info, tell me if I left out anything important.
Thank you in advance, I’m looking forward to your opinions and suggestions.

Hey just I was just looking at what you have here and it looks like QoH an Marj are your only 2 5* hero’s right? Well let me say that Marj is great! She was my first 5* and is a great hero for both offense and defense! But without any other 5* hero’s she’s not going to be as good of a tank as QoH! Q is a great hero and she’s going to be a great tank! Not only that you have to think about your defense team is going to be mostly 4* hero’s so the Q will help you survive longer with her special! DEFINITELY go with the Queen of Hearts!! Then do Marj as soon as you get the chance and don’t be afraid to run to red 5* on defense! Good luck!

If you don’t have other minions maker to backup Queen of Hearts then Marjana is way better than her. If you have Delilah, Mother North or Inari the things changes…

The queen is the best for the moment…your tank…good luck my friend

I have both as well and agree with V. Max marjana and she will immediately help you with your current roster.

My QoH is camped at 3/70. She’s pretty beefy so is serviceable.
I’m lvling Zim to take to tier4 first as I think her fast cleanse is vital in diamond vs all the GMs.

What I noticed from talking to several people who have maxed QoH and used her on defense is that QoH is best in flank. When her taunt is up, all skills fire. Having other minion makers to buff her card is effective.

But I find having her with Wilbur is the most effective combo from my use. Spirit link shares the 74% reduced skill damage among your team. This damage is so small that even a single taunt card survives the hit to protect your team for another opponent skill burn.

As a comparison, QoH in the same attack with 3 taunt cards up lost all her cards and suffered 300 health damage from a Richard blast without the spirit link.

i think Marj will be better for you mate, more versatability

Thank you all for the feedback. Although there are comments complimenting both sides, I’m tending to Marjana so far.

  • I would get a 5* maxed as soon as possible. (Since QoH needs 3 more Hidden Blades)

  • Many stated QoH needs some support (Minion makers, Spirit Link, etc.). I do have a Wilbur, but since he’s also red, I would get into another dilemma when trying to level QoH and Wilbur. And I could probably experiment somewhat with that duo on non-fully ascended levels, while I start restacking my red ascension items.

  • I think Marjana will have a deeper impact on my titan dmg than QoH. Although I’m going 4-mono-color + Wukong every time, while trying to mix in another buff and debuffer in that color. Maybe Marjana will get so strong that she’ll have a vip-place for titans like wu for a while.

However, I’ll wait for a few more days. Maybe some new comments cause me to reconsider or so strengthen my propensity.

Could you elobarate? How exactly is she more versatile? QoH seems very versatile to me. Her unique special allows for different interesting combinations: Lightning Rod with team as earthing (QoH + Wilbur/Kailani/Gunnar…) or Lightning Rod Fence (QoH + Perfect Riposte)…
Excuse the stupid names for the combinations ^^

Oh, and I’m not trying to disprove your comment, just asking for some reasoning, so I can better utilize your comment.

This advice seems to be focussing on raid/war defense. What are/were your thoughts on attacks(raids, war, titans). Would QoH prevail as your definite recommendation? Or is there maybe a reason you give more weight to defense?

No problem Marj is a fast sniper also a good tank and at your level she is great for tanking. So marj will be awesome tanking good for raids has a offensive hero. Better for the quest. QOH will be good but you need some different hero’s to back her up.

I guess likianna was a typo and you mean Lianna, right? My second tc20 gave me brought forth my very first 5* out of a training camp. Guess which one it is?

Marjana no doubt is one of the best snipers. With my QoH at 4/63, I went from 2600 to 2900 cups in raids, world "s no. 14, the highest I can get to with my limited heroes, I think, She‘s such a beast in offense. She"s a killer of those double GM defense setups.

I will go with QoH if I alreasy have other good snipers such as Alaisie, Lianna, Kage, Sartana and Joon.

Marjana for more versatility for offense and defense.

Raid defense is mainly for end game which is unnecessary to do well for almost any other event.

For starters, focus on offense.
