Just got my 6th ring, similar conversation, who?

I have a Azlar 3/70, a Marjana, 1/1 (at this point).

It has been a LONG road to get the six rings, so here is my team I use for “everything”

Left to right:

Vivica: 3/70
Grimm: 4/70
Sartana: 4/80
Joon: 3/70
Evelyn:4/80

So the question is, Azlar or Marjana. I’ve read the other threads and it seems team dependent. So based on what you see here, I could go either way.

I like to hit all enemies at the same time: Azlar
I also like one shot kills: Marjana

I am C2P, so this is a hard call for me.

What would you do?

All I can say is Azlar hurts. When he fires, 95% of the time, raids done for. J.s below.

I chose Azlar over Marjana in a similar situation as yours and don’t regret it at all. He’s great on offense defense titans and events. Plus I look at it this way: loooong road for 6 more rings. So would you rather be using a 4.80 Azlar plus a 3.70 Marjana OR a 4.80 Marjana plus a 3.70 Azlar? I went with the first option and still to this day use Marjana at 70 because she’s got solid survivability even there whereas Azlar really needs the stats he gets at 80

I am more afraid of a marjanna tank than azlar tank, because against red tanks, i triple my blues and azlar dies instantly before firing his special.

But if you want a flank/rear, then i am more afraid of azlar than marjanna.

For attack, its more difficult, but il go with marjanna, fast mana heroes are decent to kill annoying heroes like Alberich/Mother north, Isarnia…

the only defect of azlar is its slowness. . I personally prefer Marjana !!

My opinion:

Fast heroes > Slow heroes. Marj > Azlar

Only folks who like slow heroes in their defense/offense like to be defeated alot. So, Marjana is the answear!

I have both and while I love my Azlar (he was my first 80 on each account), Marjana is a better all around hero for your first red. Neither one is a good tank BTW.

When Marjana fires her special…most of the time you won’t even notice, but when Azlar fires you’re pretty much done for.

Only Marjana fires it more often… and her power is great. some 450 hit!

The big question is IF Azlar hits… lol

I’ll take Azlar over Marjana every day… Put him in the same offensive team with Gormek and Boldtusk and green tank defenses are done for… if you concentrate on red tiles, Azlar will fire 90% of the time… and if he fires while boosted by Boldtusk and the enemy has the defenses dropped by Gormek, the battle is pretty much over…

Sub Wilbur for Gormek, and you truly have a devastating combo.

Wilbur is pretty rare, everybody has Gormek…

Azlar is rarer :slightly_smiling_face:. I suggest Wilbur because I’ve had great success combining those three.

Marj will take you further in utility than Azlar. Both are great heroes but a fast sniper with a DoT Azlar is not.

When I raid a team with a Azlar, he gets taken out as a priority, and usually is because hes so slow, when hes active hes dangerous, but rare I let him get near that

This. You can work around Azlar due to his slowness and if you have a cleanser you’re really ahead even if he does fire.

Marj strike is instant and then the DoT hurts. She’s more versatile across the defensive board (tank, flank, wing) and definitely a go to option againts a green opponent.

Why does everybody think defense?! Azlar is a great offensive asset to have. As was prior stated, stacking some red heroes near him to boost attack and drop enemy defense makes him 100 times more effective on offense than Marjana… His boosted attack against a team who has it’s deffense dropped is devastating. Not to mention the 5 x DOT…
