šŸ“Æ Jott ā€“ New Season 3 Hero ā€“ 4* Ice/Blue: Thoughts, Discussion & Summon Results with Feedback

@zephyr1

Iā€™m in the same boat. I donā€™t think it exceeds the 170 cap of Miki but would like some conformation

I have the same experience using ratatouille at 3/70. I wouldnā€™t max ascend him for the simple fact that heā€™s a 5* and mats are way more valuable for such a situational utility (and better green healers than him).

But with Jott, theyā€™re night and day end results, well worth maxing. In my opinion, heā€™s a top 3, 4* to have come out of S3.

Iā€™m really not sure why my scores are bad with ratatouille because my green heroes are not underwhelming at all.

I know red titans generally melt much faster and easier to produce high hit results. But I went from avg 80k per flag on a 14* red to 100k avg and I contribute this to Jott (who replaced Ariel on my titan team). (miki/Athena/Arthur/Jott/Vela).

Is there anyone willing or able to try and analyze this video and figure out if the damage exceeds 170% of Miki, or if it stays at a maximum of 170%?

Tell me what other info and/or screenshots you need and I will provide them.

@Guvnor and @zephyr1
Just tagging you two, to see if you know or to see if you can think of anyone else to tag to try to figure it out. Iā€™d love to know if he does or not.

I will record and add more hits when I have more flags as this is still an active titan for us.

Mikiā€™s stack specifically states ā€œsimilar effectsā€

This references other stats which specifically enhance a heroes ā€œnormalā€ attack.

Jott doesnā€™t affect a HERO stat but instead affects the TILE (shield) statā€¦ Hence being only limited to the tiles ON THE BOARD.

EP is all about the specifics of the words usedā€¦

You can see the difference on your last blue match at the very end.

The left tile is enhanced and made 2135 damages while the centre tile is not enhanced and made 1645 damages.

At 0:52 you also have the Kiril buff activated and 2 tiles from the bottom are not enhanced while the others are. We can see that one of the enhanced tiles made 3105 damages while a not enhanced tile made only 2436 damages.

Still not much talk about Jott. I have him and will probably max him.

Anyone used him with Gazelle? I assume vs a titan they would pair well

Jott seems very situational, more of a ā€œfunā€ hero than anything else.

Brought him to a red titan, hoping he would boost my score but even with mana potions he was dropped in favor of Triton +19, the tile damage is so much better with Triton (Frida/Athena/Kiril/Vela are the other four, Richard-C can sub in for Vela too). Had also tried Mireweave +18, she has huge variation in scores, a few stacks and the damage gets silly in a cascade. I have also found that Wu in the team averages higher scores than Jott (very, very small sample size).

Jott may allow for some amazing scores if you have a lot of blue tiles on the board and juice him with potions but overall I havenā€™t fallen in love with the ugly galoot.

I wonā€™t be giving him emblems so find him fragile, if he can have emblems he will be better, just not sure if he will be much better.

  • Full Disclosure: I like the concept of the special as something fun but donā€™t see that it will be effective on a regular basis.
    Specials that depend on tiles for charging mana and then again for damage afterwards MUST have an excellent board to be more effective than a special that simply does its thing (heals/damages/buffs/etc). Requiring ā€œexcellentā€ boards is not a dependable, long-term strategy.

Would you choose Lady Woolerton over Gullinbursti? Or the other way 'round?

I donā€™t think Jott stacks with Wu Kong because, in my experience, when Wu is active there is a 100% chance that his enhanced tiles will miss.

@zephyr1

Would you post an image of Jott at the top of this thread? I know youā€™re busy and your time and energy are highly appreciated.

ThanxšŸ¤—

Seriously why bother posting if itā€™s for saying false statementā€¦

maybe iā€™ll chose guilinbursti first. but yellow 4* healer are welcome for me

yupā€¦ i prefer chose kiril, nordri and grimm to pair with joot

Must have missed this thread; Iā€™ve updated the OP now :slight_smile:

I get what you are saying but - is that not what Miki and Tarlak depend on? They also need a good set of tiles to have any effect. The only difference is that you can hold Jott until you get a better board and so he is a bit more strategic that way. I tend to weigh up my options with him - if his damage will kill off an enemy I will fire straight away or if the board is decent likewise otherwise I will hold him until I am happier with the board

Thatā€™s OK, I know youā€™re very busy with these forums.

Thank you for all you do. :hugs:

I hope that you get some good results with him.

Miki doesnā€™t have to be the on color nor have the tiles on the board at the moment you fire him but if you can clean the board of the off color tiles you will still benefit by the on color replacements (also, Miki boosts all allies, Jott boosts blue tiles so must be in a stack to really have an impact) whereas Jott requires the tiles to already be on the board.

As I said, I like the concept, it is an amplifier of RNG luck, not one that smooths out the bumps. His attack stat is decent for a 4* so does acceptable tile damage and he is set up to take advantage of his special. Shame he is fragile on slow mana but he is just a 4*.

Edit:
I also have him earmarked as a titan specialist, he dies easily on the 9*/10* titans we fight and hence my belief that I currently have better options until Jott can have emblems. I do not take him on raids/PvP nor do I plan to do so with the possible exception of 4* Rush, he may get a look in there.

Had 1 tile do 4300 damage on a red titan (7*) with grimm (defense down), jott (tile up), kiril (attack up), sonya (to cleanse burn) and Wu, when all buffs were on and I hit the weak spot

I appreciate this information: I made my comment as a joke but the truth is that in 3 or 4 attempts I have never seen a Jott enhanced tile hit when Wu was active. I was wondering what amount of damage was possible there to determine if it was worth it to keep trying. Iā€™ve always suspected that Wuā€™s hit rate is affected by the situation where itā€™s used.

Definitely not! Of course they do miss, but about the expected 32% (on avarage). I tried screenshotting a trio of 4k+ hits but did not manage to do that in time to record the hits.
