Peters was my first challenge event hero, when I’d been playing 2 or 3 months, and served me well for a long time. He still gets outings in the sort of places you need a reliable 4*. Hits hard and the silence is a life-saver. I remember being a little disappointed when he first popped out as I had been hoping for a legendary, but actually he was probably more useful for me at the time. (Finley didn’t exist then.)
Not expecting anyone. Used Censure’s Method. 1st gray token netted a 2* hero. 2nd gray token also netted a different 2* hero. 3rd gray token resulted to a 2* troop. Went to the pirates portal. Used 10 challenge coins. Vodnik. 2nd 10 challenge coins. 1st pirate legendary.
Anyone who has him maxed, is he any good?

I really like Kestrel, I have him maxed and +20.
See him a fair bit on defenses when raiding but I think he’s better on offense when you can time his special to do the most damage, particularly with someone like Falcon to get the element defense down as well.

Thanks for your input. Even if it is not Finley, I am happy I got this pirate. My first from this portal since playing this game in 2018. 29 Mystic rings in my inventory. I think I’ll get him to the leveling team and remove 3/06 Khagan there, who I plan to get to 3/70, along with the other guys at 3/70: 2nd Mitsuko, 2nd Clarissa, Glenda, Reuben, Guardian Chameleon, Zulag, Zocc, Inari, 2nd Ariel, Atomos, Grimble, Kunchen, 2nd Joon and costume, 2nd Evelyn, Aegir, Elkanen, Kadilen, Richard, Vivica, 2 Magnis, Marjana and Leonidas.
I have 3 Falcons and 3 Wilburs leveled. Hmnnn… 3rd monogreen team is starting to take shape.

I’m not summoning one this portal. Was lucky to get Finley some time ago and I have Peters so bar them looking really cool the 5* left don’t really help me.
The event is fun still though. Enjoyed my Epic run through and Top 500 should be locked in solid. Rare needs a lot of work still, didn’t get a lot of board help. Legendary not started yet.

Sorry mate, didn’t want to generalize here, I just made my previous statement due to your remark in the previous post that this game isn’t f2p. It is f2p, and it’s very enjoyable that way. From what I experienced so far, being f2p player in E&P makes you do a ton of interesting decisions and unorthodox party compositions due to the limited amount of heroes you get. I personally believe that to be more enjoyable than having 100+ different 80-level hero roster.
I think it’s far better odds to get a level 5 costume than a level 5 specific pirate hero, especially due to the fact that it’s far easier to assemble 5 costume keys than 10 challenge coins IMO. In addition, one level 5 costume improves all of your 5-level season 1 heroes who can wear that costume (well, except in wars), so one costume counts like a whole team (with one costume you can for example get two costumed Isarnias or Magnis in a fight), whereas one Finley is just one Finley.
Putting all that aside, I really hope you get what you want from this Challenge event - a good pirate hero.

Well, I think my Path of Valor has just paid off itself! Those 20 coins gave me 2nd Peters aaaannnndddd my first Joon!

I agree. A few posts above is an example. No gems used when summoning. Got a pirate. And that was such an ecstatic feeling. If I didn’t get a 5* hero from free pulls, so what? It’s not the end of the world. I can still beat those guys having prized OP heroes.
It’s much better than summoning heroes using gems bought using real world money, where it mostly results to a ton of frustrations.

I almost finished rare and did not found any monster chest at all. Not a single one 
Am I being extremely unlucky or the monster chest is really dissapearing from the game ?

Okay it seems like a very unfortunate event for me 
I fought exclusively on 1-3 (xp farming) and got 3 mimic chests.
However my GF did the same and found 0.
It’s all RNG. The chests are out there, that’s for sure.

I think unlucky so far.
I started with 27 coins
Completed all 3 tiers = 3, 5, 7 = 15 coins
= 27 + 15 = 42.
I have done 4 free pulls and I am back to 8 coins, which means I have had a total of 6 chests from levels. In total I have used 3 or 4 flasks and had 1 full world energy (my max energy is 54)
So, I have earned 6 coins from about 216 - 270 world energy flags

Yep mate, but that 216 world energy is not spent on 216 battles, but much less.
My assumption is that if you had all 216 energy spent on 1 energy battles, you could get more coins from chests.
I advise all new players to farm the 1s for chests btw.
