I got Wu Kong not long ago and I rushed him and emblemed him to + 20 (defensive path) but my titan´s scores haven´t improved despite using a nice amount of forge items.
The main issue with the monkey is that when a combo aimed to weak point fails the titan attacks and usually oneshot my heroes The only way to prevent that is to use timestops but If I use timestops I have to discard other items, such mana pots (I´m always short) banners or antidotes (a must when fighting fire or dark titans)
Should I go back to mono (I haven´t another damage booster apart from standard attack buffs) or keep trying and hoping for good boards?
I use wu against 12 star dark titans. Time stops, poons, mana, antidotes are my items. I consistently do more damage with holy team than any other team other than blue.
bung mentioned in an E&P Books interview using a big attack up (in your case, Wu Kong) plus Wilbur on every titan hit. Wilbur ensures that a miss on the weak spot doesn’t kill one of your heroes since the damage is shared. it also allows you to more freely work the board to maximize bringing in on-color tiles as opposed to aiming for weak spots.
considering the boost from Wu Kong is immense at +185% attack, i think it’s well worth trying the Wilbur strategy out even if you have hits with only three on-color attacking heroes. you get defense down from Wilbur, and even if that misses, at least the shared damage among all allies never misses.
I use Wu on every titan team when fighting 14* titans, since he is the only maxed hero I have with super attack. The scores are for sure much better than if I would not use him at all.
Basically I go 4-1 with all my teams, where Wu is my “1”, except for Holy where the “1” is Wilbur because I don’t have a defense down.
If you have another super-attack booster like Miki, Sergei, Gazelle, Tarlak, than you can try to replace him, but otherwise I don’t think you will have better scores without him.
Sometimes my heroes are killed before the fight ends, but 95% of the time is when I could not many tiles for my attack team. On average though I score in the B tier, sometimes in C, sometimes in A.
@fight_happy For titans the tile damage is much more important than the special and for Russel only the special does not miss.
Maybe we should ask a different question for the Original poster….
If you are using 4* like wukong for titans… you should reconsider the level of titans you are hitting….
Are you and your roster at a place to handle 13*? You may get more out of an alliance (loot, experience etc) if you find a better fit for your player level and roster.
I use mostly 5* (except for falcon and Wilbur) for titans… and Our alliance hits in the 10-11* titan range… which is optimal in loot for our level. (And keep in mind I have Tarlak and G, Gazelle ).

I have a feeling I wouldn’t be going after 13* titans if I am at your current player level.
I don’t have a Miki/Tarlak/Ranvir/Sergei, so I’ve to rely on Wu Kong. I hit 14* titans, and use the same 4-1 set-up except for dark titans (I use a mono team since Wu is holy).
I’ve been trying out this mono team vs 14* holy, and it doesn’t work for me:
The same team, except swapping out Karnov for Wu Kong got me 74.7k and 43.5k hits. I used 3 flags on my current titan without Wu, and they were all lower than 43k.
@Peazomanco Thus I suggest you don’t go back to mono (unless, for example, you can use a mono holy team for dark titans).
Regarding timestops usage, can you alternate with tornadoes and/less expensive battle items?
I’ve hit bigger titans… but the loot tier going from getting A rank with 10-11* vs getting a B/C with 13* or higher… isn’t worth the move.
Plus I don’t use as much resources (battle items etc) hitting 10/11*… so the ROI is much much better. It also leaves me the resources t score higher on events like mythic titans and ninja tower… where I can scoop up a lot of loot plus emblems.
It’s actually better to find a sweet spot for titans … compare the loot ROI and resource usage to figure out.
I don’t use considerably more items hitting 14* vs 11* (I hit 11* earlier this year, while I was on a break). Outside of my strong titan colours, it can be difficult to hit the titan hard.
In the past, I would use big battle items regularly on 14*. I now let my teammates* help take care of those titans (instead of trying to force bigger hits with big items), and I push myself on my strong titans.
In other words, I try to play to my strengths: I allow myself to be (somewhat) carried on my weak titans, and I aim for big scores on my strong titans.
I can do more damage on a strong titan with bigger battle items, instead using same items for a small improvement on a weak titan.
*I’d say this can be alliance dependent. My alliance kills 14 stars non-stop.
I use Wu with 14* Titans! Usually 4-1, for heroes in the counter color ofcthe titan plus Wu. I have some twohunfert revive scrolls , all from loot, would not build them. To keep Wu or sometimes Nordri alive I use those scrolls. At the begin I charge Wu with manapots. A turtle or a Dragon banner to add protection, an axe to get the attacs down. If Wus Effekt wears of I recharge, if he is dead I revive him.,
For every titan, I’ll throw a harpoon if I can’t hit the titan’s weak spot with three tiles. Once the first tier for harpoons is reached, I’ll use axes instead of harpoons.
If any heros is very squishy or die soon pair them with overhealers and they basically becomes more surviving assets… And if u dont hace any other atk boost hero wu still a better option u just need to keep him alive
I have him with costume bonus and +18 emblems, defense and health path + level 13 mana troop. He can survive a direct hit now, with around 10% health left.
