So I’m trying to decide whether to make a run at the Legendary tier (just looking for completion) to get the ascension mats and emblems. My problem is I’m not sure that I have the horses to do it without using a ton of battle items I don’t have and can’t make (i.e. anything greater than Dragon Attacks) or spending gems, of which again I only have a limited supply. I also seem to be struggling with the lower tiers so I’m not sure my heroes are up to the task.
What I have (leaving off 3* and red heroes or other unrealistic options):
5*s (none are maxed out or even in the 4th tier)
Thoth-Amun (3/31), Evelyn (3/52), Joon (3/54)
4*s (maxed)
Triton +7, Li Xiu +5, Cyprian +4, Kiril +1 (I do have maxed Gormek and Scarlet as well, but they are red)
4*s (unmaxed)
Chao (3/58), Cheshire Cat (3/39), Kashhrek (3/45), Little John (3/24)
Others I could possibly see using for specific reasons
Mnesseus (3/45), Belith (3/50+6) - basically for their ability to dispel enemy buffs
Valen (3/50+7) - I believe the only one I have that can lower defenses without killing himself charging up.
If you treat it like a battle item delivery team maybe. Triton, Evelyn, Kash, LJ & Kiril in that order.
Pack arrows, Axes, Meteors and Dragon bombs. The point is to get to the boss stage with full charges on everyone and possibly a diamond on the board ready to pop. If you lose even one of your heroes before the boss wave, abort and save the battle items for another try.
If you do get to the bosses, unload all of your battle items, fire off Kiril, then Evelyn, LJ and and Triton then pop the diamond. Hold back Kash to keep the green trio alive when you finish off the bosses with tile damage. Hopefully LJ’s debuff keeps them from charging up too quickly.
I have only 4-stars (my two 5-stars are still in early development). I am through 7 levels of legendary. The same team with less emblems and a couple less levels on one hero finished level 9 of legendary for Wonderland (or not quite the same team, because I had to sub Melendor for Boldtusk, but the core). With dragon attacks, bombs, antidotes and mana potions you might manage it.
That said, level 7 was pretty hard for me this time… We’ll see what the last three hold in store.
I have already finished legendary with Tarlak +2, Sonya +7, Kiril +1, Wu Kong max and Little John 4-55. I used some healing potions (mostly to keep my LJ alive), some antidotes, 3 dragon attacks and 3 time stops.
You should try Evelyn, Triton, Kiril for healing, Li Xiu and LJ for mana control.
Take some antidotes and mana potions for Kiril. Go to the boss stage with your heroes fully charged, use all dragon attacks and bombs, use Evelyn’s, LJ’s and Triton’s specials. Don’t use Li, until the bosses are almost ready to fire their specials.
Finish off Rumpel first, then RH. And don’t forget to use your antidotes!
Thanks a lot for the advice and for the demonstration video. It was very informative and nice to see that it can be done. I’m not entirely convinced that my group can do it though simply because my three greens are significantly less powerful, particularly LJ, who is more that 100 levels below the one you’re using. Evy and Kash aren’t quite so far removed (15-18 levels). On the other hand my Triton would likely hit harder being upgraded to class level 7 to give him +30 attack and a 15% chance to bypass any defensive buffs.
Still undecided about whether to save the WE flasks for other things like other future events or possibly pushing forward in season 2 to collect some coins for the next Atlantis Summons. Regardless, I am genuinely grateful for your help and your willingness to not only make the video but to use your own valuable in-game resources in the process.
PS - I am also grateful to everyone else who has taken the time to respond.
You don’t need to spend flasks if you want to save them. Just use your normal World energy flags and give it a try. If your goal is to complete Legendary without trying to score high, you don’t need lots of repetions. You’ll see how it goes and it will give you a hint what to improve in the future even if you fail.
