That’s the point, looking at my pics, you’ll notice that Ferrant has significantly more total stat points than Joon (3289 to 3202, both LB+20). As good a sniper as Joon is, Ferrant’s skill is far more useful overall. So, why is Joon a 5* and Ferrant a 4*… better stats, better skill, lower star class… how is this normal in any way? It’s not about Ferrant, it’s about powercreep and the need to aknowledge 6* heroes, while keeping the team cost at 130, as it’s always been. That’s how powercreep would be swiftly dealt with. You could bring one, or two superheroes on the field but the rest would have to be of lower class, to keep within 130 team points. A 4* hero surpassing a 5* in every imaginable way, how’s that normal? It’s bullsith fed to us with a silver spoon, in order to buy some more gems. We all know that’s true, even if we like to admit it or not. 5* class should be limited to a preset total stat points, as should 4* and 3*… all heroes above that should belong in a higher star class.
There’s no point in that. Progression procents are the same for every hero. What matters is the final product. And you’re cutting it short. For no reason.
In terms of stat value health is worth half of defense and attack. It is something that is known and accepted. Not sure why you are arguing against that.
A hero with 600 defense and 1800 health is worth less than a hero with 800 defense and 1800 health. The damage they would take would be much greater
In terms of reality, health is what’s keeping the hero in the fight, so it’s the most important stat. I’m arguing against it because it makes no sense.
There is a damage calculation formula. Defense is widely accepted as the more important stat when determining how well a hero can survive. 200 defense is not worth the same as 200 health.
Health has a bit more value when you look at DOTs… but it is still not at a 1:1 ratio with defense
But how about a hero with 800 defense and 1400 health? It will probably die faster that the 600 defense 1800 hp hero. Defense doesn’t keep you alive when health gets to 0.
It will be roughly equivalent, but with the high defense hero expected to survive longer unless you have DOTs in play in which case it will probably be the opposite.
No, but defense will make sure your health goes down a lot slower
One of Ferant’s positives is that he has the ideal build for a riposte hero. His defense is pretty low which means he will take a lot of damage, and reflect that damage. His high health lets him asborb that damage and stay alive for longer. But in terms of his own survivability defense would generally serve him better than health.
I won’t say anything else on this topic - other people can chip in if they want to
… and a point of attack has nothing to do with either of them, so why factor it the same as defense? Why not 0,75? Or 2,5? Stat points are stat points, no matter what. A hero with high attk and hp will have low d, a hero with high d and hp will have low attk, a hero with high d and attk will have low hp. That’s how it goes usualy.
And what prove do you have for that? The only 5* you compared ferant is Joon, a S1 hero. And its not even consistent on the stat spread, should be horghall, one of the highest health S1 heroes with low defence and attack, if you want need to compare stats.
Should…so in your own opinion. You can’t just say this is the benchmark for what a 4* tier stat is. That’s why comparing Hansel with ferant is very strange to me. Since ferant is health orientated, the comparison should be to more health orientated heroes, gormek/cyprian of S1 comes to my mind. And gullinbursti for the middle ground.
Also…
A new gen hero like my quenel has stats like this
Very impressive health yeah, but the defence is ■■■■ so that he capitalize on his counterattack capabilities. And compared to new generation 5*, the defence and attack are crap
It tells you everything when most of the top alliances use a damn “4*” as their war tank…. We just made the move and tbh I hate it …
I also hate live nerfs so I’m truly torn.
I’d be okay to see his counter decreased in % or by a couple of turns, because as it stands, he gets surrounded by fast hit all hero’s and once his counter goes off it’s very difficult to turn the tide, as you don’t get 6 turns to wait when you have Morel, Lepus C, Frigg and the likes waiting to punish you.
