Help with 4* heroes... who ascend next?

Hi guys,
(English is not my native language, sorry if the below comes stiff)
I have currently 7 x 4* heroes:

  1. Gormek
  2. Kelile
  3. Melendor
  4. Gadeirus
  5. Triton
    All 5 fully ascended
    Then I have Colen and Buddy - both at 3/60

I have the following asc items:
1 compass
1 fine gloves
6 hidden blades
2 sturdy shields

Do you think I should upgrade Colen or wait for 2 more sturdy shields for Buddy?

Besides I’m about to complete 1 TC 20 building (3 days building then the week research to do).

Should I go for a third way: keep those asc items for any other 4* hero (other then green and red) that I hope will eventually pop from TC 20 and so keep Colen and Buddy at 3/60 for an undefined longer time?

I play in alliance, titans, wars

I’d go with Colen. He’s devestating when he goes off.

Go with Colen…by the time you get two more shields you’ll have another compass and gloves.

I used to play with Colen very often, love him, but got stuck so many times with the slow mana - since I had no assets on purple, yellow and blue - that I usually go with Gormek and Kelile for quite a long time now.
Triton comes from my last Atlantis pull.
Maybe Colen will be now less frustrating.

He works better at full ascention rather than 360. Had issues keeping him alive long enough at that level.
