Time to choose a red 5* to work on. I just can’t get the ones I really want.
Here’s what I’ve picked up.
Here’s my roster.
If you need a red tank then Santa is a good option, but if you want a high tile damage AoE attacker, Guardian Kong is way better than Elena, especially when paired with Wilbur/Falcon and Boldtusk. That’s just my two cents.

It depends very much on what you’re after! Normal Defence? Titans? Raids? Wars? Tournaments?
Elena is great for Titans & Raids because of her insane base attack stat. Also goes very nicely with Wilbur.
Guardian Kong can be dangerous cause his AOE is pretty strong and is Average speed (vs. Santa & Elena who are slow)
Santa is more of a Red Tank than anything else. Best suited to Rush-Attack tournaments or ones where Blues are denied. Otherwise (due to average other stats) I don’t see much of a use for him

Kong is who I was leaning towards. Poor Elena just keeps getting bumped down on the list.
Santa does seem like he’d be a decent tank.
The BT Wilbur Falcon Anzogh combo is a lot of fun. I think I’ll work on my dupes of BT Wilbur And Falcon and if Red hood doesn’t come my way I’ll max Kong for a second red team.

I would Level up Lancelot first。
As others stated already, if you need a tank, santa. If not, Kong would work fine in general with what you already have

Go for Kong. Family bonus with Falcon is to be considered.

Good point I hadn’t even thought about the upcoming family bonus.
I snagged Santa last Christmas event and have used him as my tank until recently when Guin graced my roster. He kept me solidly in Platinum with minimal effort. I also use him as my war tank when we run red. He is normally tough for our opponents to get thru.
Currently, he sits beside Guin as a flank and does quite well

Noooooooo. Elena is better than Kong with the Riposte. Especially against bosses.

But G Kong does more damage at average speed. I don’t have either of them but from whatever videos I saw G Kong seemed to be a more damaging hero. Plus he charges at the same time as Boldtusk, Wilbur, Falcon and Anzogh… So that’s a lot of AoE damage at average mana speed.
Elena damage stat: 809×2.02 = 1634
G Kong damage stat: 786×2.2 = 1730
But yeah the riposte might be useful skill.

Well many times, the damage alone is not worth it especially the difference is minimal.
The secondary effect however can be massive, G Kong basically has none since if the opponent has at most 1 blue hero in a rainbow defense.
Elena firing = any additional slash attack / specials firing giving her the ability to deal more damage.
G Kong, besides the avg speed and damage, he is very close to Thorne with much less toughness.

In my honest opinion, if you are looking for another decent tank then it’s going to be Santa. If not, then my focus would be Elena first then G. Kong. Good luck
