Gobbler, Jack O'Hare, or Skittleskull?

Hi there, I have unlevelled Gobbler, Jack O’Hare and Skittleskull (she has the costume as well!), enough sturdy shields and no other green hero to ascend. All of the heroes got equally bad marks on Hero Grading. Is not any of the heroes underestimated in the table, so that (s)he would be worth the shields? Which one is the best of those three?

As regards green, I have maxed Caedmon, Horghall, Lianna, LJ, Melendor, Buddy, Gadeirus, Kashrek, and un-maxed Elkanen. Thanks in advance.

Jack. He is fastttttt

Another vote for Jack

I don’t have Jack so can’t speak to him, but Skittleskull with costume bonus has extremely high tiles and shouldn’t be ignored. She can contribute in trials, on titans, and in war.

Jack is a cut above Skittles because of the mana speed.

Gobbler is terrible. Most minion-producers are 5*, and he doesn’t survive long enough to help.

I vote Jack!

My main recommendation would be to pass on all of these, but skittle has a costume and can be really useful in v fast 4 star tourneys and in a pinch vs titans and in wars with her tile damage. So if you’ve got nothing else to work on she gets my vote

In my honest opinion, and I have all of these, I would wait for a better hero. All mine are sat on the bench at 1/1 …
However, if it’s a must, I would probably focus on levelling Jack O’Hare first
Whatever you choose to do, good luck

In my roster only Gobbler remains at 1.1 as I don’t see many minion producers among 4* heroes. Both Jack and Skittleskulll (also with a costume) are maxed. In Alliance wars we often face blue tanks, so green heroes are demanded. I use Jack more often as he is fast.

I don’t have skittles costume, but at one point had her +20 attack path. It put her damage over 800 which made her great for tile damage on titans and also province stages. Slow prevented her from being in my raid teams, but some people are cool with that. Her ability drops A too, which is helpful in those scenarios.

Even if the costume isn’t equipped you get a boost to all stats helping survivability. I don’t honestly know her costume power, but I doubt it’s worse.

Tile damage between her and Jack are comparable. Both are higher A values then most the other greens you have. Jack would be better at raids due to speed. Skittle dropping A and not suffering reduced D when swinging makes her better in provinces and such, so it depends what you’re looking for.

I know Gobbler got buffed, but unless you have a specific recurring minion problem, I would say let him starve still.

Good luck, keep us posted :+1:

One vote for Jack O’Rabbit…

He is fast and has a high attack stat. Excellent with Caedmon. I use her in my green mono in every war plus. If I bring Gadeirus I put them next to each other. In this case it’s a win-more situation but watching a boosted Jack go rampage is hilarious.

I don’t see the defense down a huge issue… If you collected 8 green tiles it’s very likely that Caedmon, Melendor, Brynhild, Kingstone, etc… is also ready to fire… Dispel, aoe, snipe… Even if he dies because of the defense down the battle is likely over.

As it was pointed out in another thread, undispellable defense down is a plus if your team is attacked by Isarnia, Wilbur or alike: Jack’s defense remains just 20% down, not 44%.

Only my Skittles is maxed, next will be Gobbler to see if he’s useful now. I kind of fear that Jack dies too fast. Anyway I gave Skittles emblems to node 20, have a mana troop level 17 and together with the costume bonus her skill loads with 10 tiles. That’s very helpful. But you need all of what I mentioned above.

It’s funny you’d worry about Jack dying too fast out of the three. His defense and health are on par with Skittles, and he isn’t vulnerable until AFTER he fires at least.

Of the three, if you’re going to bother with any, I’d go Jack.

I’d advocate more for “none of the above” and waiting for a better hero though.

Of the three Jack is the most usable, Gobbler was and still remains hot garbage after the “buff”, and Skittles even with costume is maybe a cut above hot garbage (cold garbage??)

I also agree with those who said to wait for a better green hero, but if you had to burn some shields right now, then Jack is definitely the best choice out of the 3.

You already have a good Green 4* bench, so wouldn’t hurt to wait.

But among the three: I vote Jack.

Jack and Skittles were my first 4* Greens maxed. Although, I was really happy to add Caedmon and Melendor to my Green bench. Jack is great for farming, but his AoE skill is less useful on Raid offense (he hits hard, but not THAT hard; and he doesn’t have a secondary effect. I prefer taking down key targets rather than damaging all without an extra effect…)

  1. Skittles’ attack debuff can be useful, but you already have Horghall, so her niche use case is on Very Fast 4* Raid Tourneys. For other 4* tourneys (bloody battle, buff booster) I prefer LJ (though Skittles COULD be useful to debuff attack boosts on attackers, but then her slow mana is a problem - and Buddy does the same, except to only 3 instead of all 5, and at average mana too!). She does contribute high tile damage…

  2. … but so does Jack. And his fast mana helps put pressure on the enemy in other raid formats. For raid defense, my defense did better with Jack than with Skittles. If you run mono-Green 4*s, Jack would be better than Skittles, as you already have LJ as a slowy, and Buddy does similar things.

  3. Gobbler: is a bit niche, and is like taking the middle-of-the-road. Jack is faster and also has a very high attack stat, so unless you are running into a lot of minions, you can skip Gobbler.

Buddy is average mana, FYI.

I have 5*’s I could use and that demented elf +20 is still my tank :+1:

ah, thanks for the correction. I’ll go back and edit my post… I always confuse him for Santa…

All good, you’re in luck he’s probably one of the few people who wouldn’t be offended being mistaken for Santa :santa:t2: :+1:
