I have be racking my brain a bit on how to allocate my fighter emblems. I have a lot of resets, so the way I see it unused emblems aren’t doing me any good.
As some background I am F2P, so I am planning for and using what I have. I am not going to plan for summoning an event hero or HotM because, well … we all know those odds
Boldtusk is +20, so not an option there.
Magni +7 I am reluctant to keep going here. Node 8 is A LOT of emblems for F2P resources IMO. Getting multiple nodes on a 4* probably does better for me overall.
Colen +1 I am hesitant because I have Azlar maxed. If I am going slow and want everyone to burn Azlar is my cat and aside from maybe drunk playing I wouldn’t double up those two on a team.
Hu Tao +1 is new and I am getting used to him. This last Trials of Decimation was his first outing. He did better than I thought. Blind is nice (to not be the one blinded for once ). That being said I have decent yellows (G Jackal, Joon, Gretel, Chao, Li Xiu, Danzaburo, and The Wu all maxed with some talents) so Hu Tao doesn’t make my titan teams or anything, so not sure if there is value to his emblems.

So I read this as three choices: magni, hu tau, and colon. It sounds like of the three, you use Magni the most and are just concerned with the cost.
You make a note about f2p. I’d comment on how many emblems you already have. Budget may limit your heroes, but less so emblems as they aren’t for sale much. You may miss out on some higher odds on raid tournaments if you don’t continue. Just complete the challenge events and class trials and you’ll be okay.
I’m going to throw my support towards Magni based on use.
The other caveat would be if after his buff a talented Hu Tao is beneficial. Maybe on a D path for survivability he helps in S3 provinces?
I could combine him with Danzaburo, who was also buffed (technically only 1/3 buffed as it only impacted one of his powers) and have a double buffed hero team.
It sounds like Colen and Hu Tao don’t have a clear role for you right now, and they will likely fade further as time goes along. I think you might regret giving them emblems.
Conversely, I don’t think there will be a time when you say “I wish Magni didn’t hit so dang hard”
Depending on your playing style, I’d consider Boldtusk #2 or keep building up Magni, especially if he is on your war defence.
