Dont you think that Grimm was bad cholice as tank.
From what i see Kiril or Sonja might have been better.
Further why are you using Sonja as right flank and not as left wing?

That was what I was testing.
I’ve run Kiril as tank before, I wanted to see how the added survivability impacted Grimm’s ability to tank.
In my own attacks, I also faced and killed multiple Sonya and Kiril tanks (and Grimm and Boril, too), and found none of them troublesome — though I’d say Sonya is often the better choice, except in Rush Attack.
Both Kiril and Sonya are good tank options here and in general, it’s just hard to have an effective Defense in 4* Raid Tournaments, depending on how you’re matched.
Teams that are frequently matched tend to have little chance to do well in my experience.
You can somewhat see that reflected in there being a Grimm tank on the player ranked 14th in the Tournament. Similar teams perform differently depending on matching.
There are two more Grimm tanks in the Top 100 as well, interestingly.
I wanted the other Triton’s buff ahead of the other hitters, given the Emblem distribution.
People overestimate the value of a dispeller firing ahead of the other hitters, as the timing doesn’t work out often, so the conventional wisdom of dispellers in left wing isn’t always the strongest choice.
In this case I was more interested in the flanks being sturdy, given the experiment of Grimm as tank, and preferred Kiril in left flank, to have a chance to fire ahead of Grimm and Sonya.
Did better in this one than I did in most I think. Boards were just on my side for the most part.
Team was: Kiril, Grimm+20, Boril, Sonya, Triton (all level 70)
Offense went 21-4
Defense Grade A. Won 14/20.
Sturdy Shield, epic troop token, and 30 druid emblems were the only rewards of note.
It is very difficult to do tests with different defenses during tournaments because you have so many unknown factors and such a small sample size.
Did you make out any trends so far ?
It’s true, it’s not like we can try a different team each day.
I’ve been looking at other people’s defense results in these threads for the last 11 months too, as well as my own over the course of time — and assessing my experience fighting various Defense Teams across each Tournament.
One thing I’ve observed is that similar Defenses sometimes perform notably differently, presumably as a function of matchmaking. We’ve also seen tendencies for matchmaking to vary day-to-day, with the same Defense getting considerably different win/loss ratios on different days.
And while I don’t think there’s much value to paying a lot of attention to the color restrictions in most cases, I do think there’s value in focusing on the Special Rule.
Making the most effective Defense — regardless of color — for the Special Rule is a better approach to ranking well. My lamentation above was that means it’s not so necessary to vary defenses based on color restrictions, more so just Special Rule, so there’s less need for overall bench depth/variety than I had imagined a year ago.
I also just said some things about this here: 🏅 [Feb 23, 2020] 44th Raid Tournament! — 5* Rush Attack, No Holy/Yellow - #83 by zephyr1
Late post…
Sonya - Kiril - Boril - Grimm - Triton
Defense: Grade D (as expected).
Rank: Top 5%
Nice to have unfarmable items…
