Reward spenders, fine. But how about thisā¦by completing various stages in the regular lane you can earn the premium pass? Give the f2p players an additional incentive to actually complete part of the lesser stages.
I say this as in one alliance I was in, there was a player from an African country where the US has sanctions against it. As a result, he is forced to be f2p and cannot purchase the pass - all store purchases are blocked.
He canāt be the only one affected in the millions of players in this game.
Idk if youāve seen the prices of mobile data or wifi but pretty high in africa(had 2 players that had to quit the game because they literally couldnt afford to play a free game due to those rates)
So in those millions of players in the playerbase, it would surprise me if a significant amount are from africa that play enough to complete these challenges daily and still keep up with all other game stuff
I think SG should be extremely careful about this.
If killed heroes in alliance wars count for challenges this could lead to strong members of an alliance intentionally attacking weak opponents to complete this challenge, getting fewer points that they could potentially get.
50 days is 84 war flags i think the war hits will be fine, say it goes 5 10 15 20 for the tiers you should be booting anyone that canāt hit those numbers anyway
If an alliance cant boot due to not being able to fill spots with recruiting, itās an effort issue and they should fold the alliance or hand it over to someone willing to put in the effort
Path of Valor huh. Sounds like a good idea once you start reading. āNewā missions? Nice. Rewards for completing said missions? Excellent. But then you get to the part that says āpurchase Valor Pass to get Premium Rewardsāā¦ Thatās where they lost me.
Also, whatās up with the cheat item Bag of Holding. That thing shouldnāt be allowed during monthly events. All the other new items sound pretty decent.
I just hope this new event doesnāt become Alchemy Lab 2.0.
Well, overall I like this idea. My concern is that the valor pass items will be so much greater than the āfreeā rewards to make the gap between F2P and P2P greater. If the difference in items is only moderately better then this looks great. I am looking forward to this feature already.
Well, although it may not really a good sign for f2p, or probably a spin off from the existing campaigns, at least, we will have some reason to keep playing.
Kinda getting tired of the same farming and raiding day in day out.
Let see if the Path Of Valor offer something exciting.
Iām happy that they are adding additional ways to get rewards for stuff Iām already likely doing, hard to complain about thatā¦ I do understand the frustrations of pay wall rewards but thatās nothing new, VIP has been doing that for a long time and itās likely that Iāll pick one or the other and not both. At the very least this already seems to have more potential for me then lab or lodge has had.
Thanks RnG Gods the Atlantis Rises is around. The only time I feel like farming is not too bad after all. And the loots tickets on offer turned me back to p2w for a minute.
I anticipate a divide between alliance-mates who have the pass, and those who donāt.
I assume it will be manageableā¦ PayToPlayers will just have to use discretion when bragging about challenge rewards. Hopefully they keep the incentives in line, and players keep matriculating to big rosters.
It would be a bummer if attrition outpaced acquisition, but I figure Zynga knows this game.
As an individual player, Iām excited for a faster track to 4* mats, if possible. As an alliance-mate, Iām a bit worried about attrition.
In the end, Iām one of those suckers whoād pay a bit more to see a return in the form of 4* ascension mats. Itās definitely my goal in the game to build out a sizable roster of 5* heroes that I can mix and match for 20 - 60 minutes of daily play. The biggest problem with the game (to my mind) is repetition, but I do believe a diverse roster solves that problem, making the game enjoyable for about an hour per day - as a mobile game should be.
