This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Round 2 of costumes for Santa’s Challenge - Mr. Pengi.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Special Skill: Herring Suprise

  • Deals 400% damage to the target
  • Deals an additional 160% damage to as many random enemies as there are Minions owned by allies. The damage is reduced on each concesutive hits.
  • All hit targets receive 204 Frost damage over 3 turns.
  • Summons an Elf minion for the caster and nearby allies with 10% HP and 10% attack inherited from the caster.

Can’t believe his costume is such garbage in comparison to the base hero. His first hit should be no less than 475% and about 210% on the second hit. With the inflated stats of meta heroes, that won’t even cause a dent.

The reason is titans. You probably don’t care. Getting all those hits on a single target really racks up the damage. They’ve all but made him essential for high titan scores.

Moreso than if i used Fizzcoil? If so, ill put my current level 85 mr pengi in his place. Like so…

Agree with @King_Kyree77 , lame update here, impressive how they manage to make some heroes worse. Farrah is hitting for 500% + 200% per tile so I think his suggested numbers are right on.

I’ll have to watch some current Mythic videos, I don’t think Pengi is used anymore for high hits @Mikal (depending on what level you play at). Cool that he was the subject of the first Scroll of Aggregation though:

You need a C2 Grimm or Glenda in there @ProfessorBlaq , ditch Nautica and move Pengi to that spot for more minions.

Pengi is outdated for mythic titan, growth and wither effects ruling now

I have nautica there strictly for the crit increase.

While i do wish it was to all, 50% is nothing to sneeze at.

As soon as I get perseus costume, im swapping athena out
