I am here for more than 2 years already and I still don’t know what’s the best arrangement for a defense team.
There are THOUSANDS of questions on this forum about what is the best position for a hero in a given context. Now the decision belongs to the final user, but it will be nice if we can have a tool to recommend a team.
I don’t want SG to develop this tool. Maybe there are fans here with enough knowledge to develop this.
I can do a web-app (it’s cheaper) but I definitely need help.
This is what I am thinking.
You add your heroes in the tool (name, level, etc) and then the tool gives you possible teams arrangements for different scenarios:
recommended defense team
recommended attack team against red dragon 5*
recommended attack team against that Campaign
and so on.
Can we do this?
What do we need to do first?
The only correct position for Alberich and MN is on left wing.
If they revive a fully charged hero, that hero will be able to use his special skill on the same turn, which is game changing. You don’t get any benefit in putting Alby/MN in the right corner.
They (and Guardian Owl) are the only exceptions to the rule that slow heroes should not be placed in the corner.
I am fine with either of the arrangements, THANK YOU both, I swim in Diamond Raid Arena, the higher position I got was 3 / World, 2 / USA
So I’m fine.
My thing is how we build that tool I was talking in the primary topic.
Yeah Alberich should really be left wing. If he revives a fully charged hero from the right wing, it’s not that heroes turn anymore and it won’t fire it’s special. And isarnia in a corner will never fire. It makes more sense to order that team Alberich, isarnia, Gravemaker, Hel, Drake. It also has the benefit of putting yellow and purple next to eachother to make splash damage less threatening.
Closest thing i know of is the hero utility tool on titanmafia.com
You can pick 5 heroes and it’ll show how often they appear in which positions in defense teams of the top 100 ranks and shows both current amounts and cumulative amounts
Does leave some room to think on user’s end but can at least get a player in the right direction
For example if a player has guin and goes to hero utility, puts her in a team, it will show that she plays tank more than any other position and never plays wing
Isarnia can be a game changing tank but only if she fires. She’s the squishiest among GM, Drake and Hel and on top of that, she’s slow. I wouldn’t put her in the tank position when there are 3 better tanks than her in the team.
With Alby-Isarnia-GM-Hel-Drake, there is a high chance that she will fire because GM can take out a hero or two, Hel can block mana and Drake can blind the attacker’s heroes. This will give her enough time to be charged up and destroy the opponent’s team.
In my opinion, it’s much more important to have Isarnia’s defence down to be applied before both GM and Hel fire than balance the speed of both sides.
If the team is Alby-Hel-GM-Sarni-Drake, a lot of damage will be lost due to a bad team composition if all Hel, GM and Sarni are charged up at the same turn. What is more, Hel and Drake (purple and yellow) won’t be next to each other which will make it even easier for the attacker to win.
