I found an alliance whose name I want. It has one member who hasn’t played in almost 3 months. Is there any way a dev could make the name available?
Can you just use it with some kind of punctuation to make it different?
+Alliance Name+
or
Alliance-Name
(Of course Guardians Reborn are the best Guardians)
I assumed alliance names could be duplicated (like player names can) but I’ve never tried to duplicate one so I don’t know lol
But I like the irony in the name “Dead Alliance” which I thought you ment from the title
I’m not adding characters to produce a knockoff version of an alliance name.
Capitalization matters. For instance, I was in an alliance named WAR, and others exist named war, War, wAR, et cetera. And I’m not going all caps on the name I want.
If this player has disappeared for 3 months, he/she probably isn’t coming back. A dev could prefix the alliance name with an underscore or something, thereby making the original name available.
As you wish, I’ve never heard of the Devs tinkering with an alliance, even a dead one, so it might be your most pragmatic option.
Ok great Good luck!
I think they have more important things to do than worry about your alliance name, man. Just add a character and get on with it.
Try not to be so condescending. If the devs won’t do it, do you think I’m going to cry in a corner? It’s a request. If it can’t be done then oh well. But it definitely won’t happen if I don’t ask.
Maybe SG could implement something so that an alliance disappears after the last person in it is offline for over 3 months
I’ve moved this to #ideas-feature-requests because your request amounts to a shift in the way that names are handled. The devs don’t deal with individual account issues/requests…
There are already a number of threads on inactive/dead alliances in the ideas and features request. Here is one for example:
It actually is in Gameplay Help & Tactics, isn’t it?
