Changing around my Rainbow team - which red 4* Hero to use?

Hi all,

Finally pulled Rigard, so working on levelling him up :slight_smile:

I was thinking of using for my Rainbow team once levelled:

Kiril, Li Xiu, Caedmon, Rigard +1 red

The reds I have to choose from are: Colen, Sumitomo & Kellie

Which one would you choose and why ? (Also which order would you put them in ?)

Although some are 3/60 or less, I also have: BT, Boril, Sabina, Sonya, LJ, Tiburtus, Cyprian, HuTao, Chao, Triton as some of my other 4*'s.

My reasoning for picking the rainbow 4 is that I think there (from what ive read) the best of the pick ? (please advise if i’m off track here !!). The problem is the 3 reds listed are my only 4* ones (not counting BT ofc) :frowning:

When you have them leveled up, I would put Triton in for Kiril, make BT your red. Rigard, Li and Caedmon would make a decent team. If Tibs is leveled next, he goes in for Rigard when you attack a team that does not have hero who has a status ailment special.

BT is a 4* red and I tend to use him more than Rigard myself. Until I got a few 5* going BT was my tank. I still use him on my defense team.

I also use Sonya a lot, with her debuff she is very useful against riposte heroes (like Boril or Cyprian).

Yeah I’d be tempted to go with

Triton-Tiburtus-Boldtusk-Li Xiu-Caedmon

Boldtusk is a pretty solid tank especially with some emblems. His fighter skill can revive him and he could heal if his mana was full when he died. Triton and Caedmon are your fast hitting snipers in the corners. Caedmon dispells which is nice. Triton buffs heals so you’d want him firing before Boldtusk so I guess far left for him. Tiburtus will strike 3 and drop their defense. So he’s very powerful to have firing ahead of most of the rest of your team. He’s average speed though so you want him flanking the tank. Li Xiu is a solid yellow for sure.

If you don’t want to change rest of the team I would choose colen because I do see synergies with li xiu… Mana reduce damage all… Damage all and dot

With 1 or 2 times caedmon be for… Harming specials li xiu colen should be able to do his job…

The problem here is you don’t have a great tank.
Kiril could be, at a pinch, but BT is better.

Triton Tibs BT Li Xiu Caedmon
No colour shielding but still a good team.

Swap it up if you use kash or boril for tank. Which would vastly improve your raid defense.

Then try
Li Xiu, Tibs, Boril, BT, Caedmon

Is triton healing special really that much better than having Sonya to debuff ?

It’s a toss up. However Tritons attack is higher than Sonya and thus he hits harder. Which is what you’re looking for from snipers.

I think taking either is fine. I just had Triton with the small edge because of his more offensive stats.

Personally I’m running
Danzaburo-Tiburtus-BT-Sonya-Caedmon

I’d rather have your li Xiu than my Danzaburo but he’ll bow out in time for my Musashi.

Colen. With 2 healers and Li Xiu, you need a killer.

Kiril - Caedmon - Li Xiu - Rigard - Colen

But with Colen in the corner he’ll likely never fire before most of his team is dead. Seems suboptimal. Slow speed characters in the corner are not great unless they are Mother North or Alberich.

Rainbow team for what purpose? Personally I only use rainbow teams for two purposes:

  • farming, which doesn’t require using your best or fancy heroes
  • defense

Imjse very different teams for those two roles. On offense other than farmong, i always use a team to counter the specific foes, usually by omitting one or more colors.
