I have Wilbur at +18 and I’m playing with Different tactics on the best way to use him. I tend to use a couple of heros that will remove the share all damage of enemies. Sabina, Melandor, Sonya, Caedmon etc…that way the enemy def down remains and you can sniper individuals…i sometimes use him with skittles+20, Li +20 and Colen to spread the damage.
How does everyone else use him and what supporting heros would you recommend? Thanks in anticipation
I use him alongside Proteus & Wu Kong. Let’s say I’m on the last stage of an event - Epic / Legendary. Before reaching the bosses, I get ready a few dragons / diamonds. Once I reach the bosses, I fire: Wilbur / Proteus / Wu Kong and start firing the dragons / diamonds. Very often, by doing so the battles end very fast.
Same thing on trials / costume events / other quests. Take this example, this is what happened once I activated a single diamond.
I don’t have him, but an attack buffer (e.g. Boldtusk) would help maximize the damage. And when color-stacking, an elemental defense-dropper (e.g. Guardian Falcon) adds to it too. And generally, just bring lots of high-attack heroes
Wilbur works best in combination with AoE hitters (or at least hit-3 types) such as Colen, G. Kong, Anzogh (especially Kong), where you’ll be doing stupid amounts of damage because of that defense down. The “free” spirit link doesn’t really matter for an AoE hitter. Definitely helps to bring an attack buffer to maximize damage, but not strictly necessary.
Avoid using him with snipers though unless the enemy heroes are already at critical health. He actually makes snipers really really suck because he turns them into weak AoE hitters that just gives everyone a tickle. You wanted to one shot that hero with your Lianna? Too bad, now you’re just gonna be doing 200 damage to each hero.
If we’re talking titans, my green titan team is Wu-Wilbur-Falcon-Grave-Scarlett. Falcon for the elemental defense down, and Scarlett for her attack debuff and stupid high tile damage.
Edit: ooops sorry didn’t read the title. In terms of 4* heroes, Falcon, Scarlett, and Boldtusk pair very well with Wilbur. Colen might be a good choice if you’re facing a slower tank/team but otherwise he’s just a bit too slow and squishy for my liking. Sumle, LJ, and even Skittles are alternatives but again slow speed will be a drawback there.
Thanks rho…yeah i only go in with snipers if i can remove the share damage whilst keeping def down and my own shared damage so Sonya Sabina, Caed etc can do that job😁
Unless you’ve killed a few enemies, and now only 2 or 3 are left alive, and there’s a huge gap. In which case, it’s really nice having your single fire sniper do damage across 2-3 enemies, for approximately 300-500 each. It can nicely finish them off, especially if they are each in the corner, and are pesky self-healers like Seshat, Tyr, Leo, Elk, etc.
Don’t dismiss using Wilbur with snipers entirely. They have their place and synergy together.
Sumle is great with Wilbur because he’s AoE and Wilbur smooths out his 80% hit rate. I don’t like Wu Kong with Sumle because of Wu Kong’s miss potential stacking with Sumle’s. But running 2 Sumles could be good, in combination with the other three!
Yeah, that does make sense, Wu’s miss with Sumle’s 80% hit could mean more than half aren’t hitting. And Zyzzx road is on my way to Vegas on the 15 frwy!
Yes that’s why I said only do it when they’re at critical health. If you fire a sniper after Wilbur’s special at a full team, you’d just be wasting that shot.
Boldstuck - Wilbur - Falcon - Scarlett - Colen. This is the best 4* easy to obtain team. It works: in tournaments, events, against teams of 5* with green tank(including Telluria),titans and final steps of events. With this team i am wining against the most of the teams with 4600+ TP(70-80% chance to win) When i am using the team on titan i am just swapping Colen with Wu kong
Falcon is not easy to obtain. I’ve been playing for 15 months I don’t have him yet.
Look at the top Epic teams in every challenge event. Nine times out of ten they’re Wilbur - Falcon - Scarlett - Lancelot - Scarlett because that covers all the bases, defence down, elemental defence down, attack up and Scarlett x2 because she has probably the highest red tile damage. Some of them are not easy to get but the point is the best team includes someone who does each of those things - you just have to be lucky enough to get your hands on them.
To be fair that is the most aggressive team possible configured for achieving high scores. If you get a bad board you’re in trouble as you have no healer, debuffer or cleanser. Take that with a grain of salt.
Correct! Falcon will not come back around again until January when the Guardian of Teltoc comes back around. I pull Falcon last month during the last Teltoc event.
