I’m having some trouble deciding which heroes to ascend next. I have only one maxed purple and green five star hero, Kunchen and Hatter. For purple, I have Domitia, Obakan, second Kunch and just recently pulled Grimble waiting for a decision, for green Margaret and Elkanen. I just can’t make up my mind which one to level, or should I wait for a better candidate. AMs I have to max one of each colour.
Yellow is kind of a problem too, with maxed Ona and Joon, and another Joon at 3.70 - I’m one dart short of final ascension, but I’m not sure if I should max another Joon or wait for something else. Blue is much easier with three 1.1 Thornes, so I’ll wait there.
Below are the maxed 5 stars of each colour and def teams for both raids and wars. For 4 stars to mix up with war attacks and such, I have most, and only lacking Buddy and G Falcon from the noteworthy ones.

Since it doesn’t look like you’re F2P I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to ascend any of them unless you have an abundance of 4* mats. Elkanen might be a good option, he has his role even if you pull some of the better green heroes. Domitia isn’t bad but the game has passed her by, there are so many better and faster purple snipers now that I think ascension regret is likely if you’re going to keep spending on summons in the future.
Yes, as you both more or less said, I really could use a sniper for both colours, be it Sartana and Lianna or Seshat and Kingston, but I tend to get just Thornes.
Domitia has bit of a low punch, and is average. I was gonna go with her, before I got Grimble, now I’m not sure which one to choose, as both are potentially useful, but not what I’d really need. Also, I’m an inch away from having mats to max two purple 5 stars, so I’m probably maxing one of 'em soon, after finishing 4th Balthazar for challenges.
With green, I’ll probably just wait. Elk is half-useful in some defs, but I can’t really see the need for him in my teams.
I would definitely go with grimble. He gives your bench more depth especially as we’ll probably see more and more minion heroes in the near future. I wouldn’t say he’s one of the best, but still a very special hero, and that’s what we’re always looking for.
On your green side I would wait for another hero, cause I have them both and Margaret is really “special”. She has her role, but it’s a veryyyy small one and so not worth the materials.
