Another ascension advice thread for 4* and 5* heroes

Here are my blue, green, and yurple decks currently:

Lepus will hit 3/70 in a week or less, and thanks to Frostmarch got my 6th scope. I actually enjoy using him in offense even at 3/61 since he hits so damn hard, but he’s squishy enough as is and that undispellable defense debuff is super annoying. No I don’t have JF, and no I’m not gonna use Gato in the same raid team. :joy: I really want Magni, but only RNGesus knows when (or if) he’ll gonna show up. It’ll take me at least another 4-6 months to gather another set of scopes, so wanted to make sure I won’t regret hitting that ascend button.

Green
Wizard Mel is at 3/60, but unfortunately due to competition from Caedmon (and maybe Lepus), Melendor will NOT be getting emblemed - actually I might just ascend vanilla Mel to 4/1 and leave him there while maxing out the costume, as the costume is much superior and I basically never use the regular version. I’m down to my last 7 shields though, and maxing out the costume will consume 5. Not that I have any green projects needing shields on the horizon (Greg?), but again wanted to be sure.

Yellow
Malso is at 3/70 and I very much enjoy raiding with the guy especially now that I have a lv11 mana troop. Got my 6th dart from Shiloh and want to ascend him, but then realized my yellow deck lacks any decent hitters. Who I really want is Joon, but again who knows when or if he’ll show up. So should I go ahead and throw the darts at Malosi? Honestly the only thing holding me back is he’s not good for defense, whereas Joon also doubles as an excellent wing sniper on D, giving him more versatility.

Purple
This one hurts my head so bad. I have 9 trap tools and 10 tabards, so can either max out Ursena, OR max out Clarissa, OR Seshat if I’m lucky enough to pull her in June Atlantis. Between Ursena and Clarissa, I lean towards Ursena since I feel she has more versatility, plus she’s the only sorcerer I have worth a damn and I have nearly 500 sorcerer emblems collecting dust just waiting to get used. Clarissa I’m kinda unimpressed with at 2/60, plus competition from Telluria for paladin emblems means she’ll stay at +0 for a very long time.

However, if I do pull Seshat, I feel like I should just drop everything and reserve all the mats for her, since I lack a true purple sniper, and she fits the bill perfectly. Plus those replicator minions really increase her durability, making her much harder to kill once she’s went off. So between Ursena and Seshat, I’m completely torn. On the one hand Ursena is much more further along, but I feel Seshat would bring more value to my purple deck.

Sorry for the usual wall of text, I yack too much.

Hiya!

some stuff from my perspective.

Blue
Lepus is SOOOOO worth it! yes the debuff can be annoying but it can also be helpful as it blocks the enemy from casting “worse” defence debuffs on him (thanks to being undispellable).

Couple Grimm with Lepus and you’l struggle to find many enemy heroes left standing after that one-two punch.

Green
Costume Mel is worth it IMO. Greg is handy as are Margaret & Atomos now (post-buff). Wouldn’t say that either outweigh Costume Mel in their usefulness. I would personally probably go Margaret or Atomos over Gregorion as they both got a pretty handy buff earlier this month.

Yellow
Of the three yellow 5* heroes, I would say malosi is most worthy of the rings. I personally don’t rate Ranvir at all & think he’s worse than Wu Kong :stuck_out_tongue: (evidence / logic here: Titan Damage Boosters: Miki vs. Tarlak vs. Ranvir vs. Wu Kong vs. Guardian Gazelle)

Of the 4* Gretel is also definitely worth maxing out. As is Pixie.

Purple
All three are great options…
Clarissa is very fast & great at killing off heroes in both offence & defence
Jabberwock is a fast dual sniper. I love raiding with him & use him wayyy more than even Seshat.
Ursena is quite possibly the greatest tank in the game in-terms of her ability to turn the tide of a battle… also great for titans and offence raids.

Ultimately I think you’ll have to play around with all three… use them farming map stages to work out which one fits best with your own play style…
