Melendor has more defense and more health, so might be better at tank?
The three greens are the only leveled 4* greens I have. Red isn’t allowed, and blue isn’t really viable. So that leaves purple and yellow:
P: proteus, tibertus (c), cyprian, merlin
Y: hu tao, wu king , Chao, jackal
Quite some blue options, but I think it’s wiser not to use one.
B: sonya(c), kiril(c), boril, triton, jott, grimm
I’d probably bring Mist, Caedmon and Brynhild if attacking this defense. It’s true there’s no holy dispeller or cleanser but at least if I can get Mist off before the opposing Brynhilds, then they won’t be getting as many buffs.
Very nice defense set up tho! Buddy is probably the best tank for 4* no-red tournament. There are 3 healers but I think buff booster is one of those tournaments that you can get away with multiple healers if they give buffs b/c slash attacks become so strong. And if they crit then it will become even stronger.
Mist brings in mana control and buff prevention which is helpful for this format.
Also, her special defense down synergizes well with the snipers on the wings.
But this setup could be a bit risky as the opponents could simply stack purple and try to take out the tank and ghost tiles.
Yes- Buddy is a good tank. But the obvious tradeoff is that Buddy neither adds buffs to my team nor prevents the enemy team from gaining buffs. So, the tank is more generic - not really the best fit for a buff booster tournament.
this is either going to be a really dumb defense or a really annoying one. either way, I’m curious, when fully buffed by everybody, if Gad becomes a beast.
I think that defense will be tough to break a hole in the middle, and even trying to snipe the edges will not work here, because you can’t dispel the +74% Defense vs Specials that Brynhild provides.
You’d better make your fast, that’s all I gotta say. But then, maybe not… maybe it doesn’t dish out enough damage? But I leveled up two of Brynhild specifically for the No-Red Buff-Booster tourney, so I simply HAVE to use them.
EDIT: Also notice… zero emblems on this defense. I have a lot of emblems across a lot of 4* heroes, but this one happens to have nothing, so it might get beat up a bit.
