Looking forward to a week without Gregs and glass Grimms. Since glass Caedmon may be detered by the many reds, it could be the last week for Cyprian to shine in all his glory.
Hopefully my defence will run a bit better than the last weeks. It will be something like this:
Note that exactly half of the tanks were Cyprians, whose counterattack can be bypassed by Glass Caedmons.
I don’t know how common this “new” card is, but I’ll bet on red Toons, which “punish” nature cards with additional damage
You never know… Generally, setting up a defense for each BB is a big challenge for me, attacking in this tournament format is definitely much easier for me. To be honest I rate my defense at C (maybe B with a bit of luck) - let’s see if I was right
5 wins on Day 1. Lots of Toons today. Continued with testing a 2-1-1-1 attack.
Used tMelendor - Shar’Khai - ? - ? - Anastasia, with the question marks depending on whether I’m facing a passive or aggressive defense. Against passive defenses with 3 or more healers, used 2 red Toons in tGormek and tScarlett. Against aggressive 4 hitter, 1 healer defenses, it was tCyprian and tBoldtusk.
With the max hp cut on critical tiles and earlier tiebreaker, could kill even the strongest healers just with tiles. 2 of the matches went into tiebreaker, but was never in any danger of not winning them. Haven’t faced any defenses with Wu Kong or the Shark.
Quick 5-0, running Caedmon-shark-Cyp-Rigard-Boldtusk, all toons where applicable. Saw everything from glass to toons to Wu Kong, so far nothing seems too tough to deal with. Defense 1-2 early on. Good luck all!
One fight was quite tight. Kalö resisted my efforts and as last hero standing, he finally knocked me out. So 4-1 so far. Defense is much worse with currently 1-3.
5 more wins on Day 2. No passive defenses today. All had 3 or 4 hitters so countered with an almost hitterless attack of tMelendor - Shar’Khai - tCyprian - tBoldtusk - Anastasia. Had a lot of Purple tiles and that was enough to tempt the hitters to damage themselves on tCyprian’s riposte and to be finished off with the crit tiles from the Shark’s buff. Having 4 different colours in the stack meant high chance of damage every move.
Defense is 1-6 to start but still a lot of time for things to turn around (super optimistic mode ON!).
