Although I’ve been playing the game for 5 1/2 years, I have only followed the forum discussions on an occasional basis depending on the topic being discussed. There is one topic I’ve never seen addressed here though, and maybe it’s a well understood subject for most of you, From the time I first started playing the game I puzzled over one thing that I’ve never seen explained, and that’s the percentages used as an integral part of describing a hero’s skills. What I’d like to know is what foundation that percentage is based on. I like to work with math a litttle bit, but it’s useless when you don’t know what x is, and don’t have a logical way of determining it. Can someone enlighten me.
You mean 350% damage?
Well the easy answer is: the base is your attack stat
30% healing?
The base is your HP stat
As you can guess there is a complicated answer as well: It involves a hugely complicated formul how damage is calculated (with all the different attack buffs and defense ailments working each in their own way and changing the result.
If you are interested you can use the search funtion here on the forum and find the relevant discussions (and there are quite a few of those!). I don´t remember if in the end there was a consensus on how exactly it works or if they only managed an approximation on how it works in most (but not all) cases.
If all you want to do is compare the damage output of various heroes, then just multiply attack stat and %number. Beyond that it gets complicated.
I was afraid the answer I’d get would be something similar to that. It’s something comparable to restaurants not wanting to give away the recipes to their signature dishes. God forbid they should make something simple!
Here’s a topic for you to read - it’s complicated, you may need paracetamol.
