I have saved a bunch of epic hero tokens. I’m saving them for the best seasonal summon. Any advice? I’m playing the long game… I’m not in love with the Kalevala family. I like the Lunar New Year family for the minion support. Any suggestions?

Many consider Christmas best. I often base mine on the HOTM or a hero I chase after with the free epic tokens.
Afaik the seasonal heroes are:
(January) Lunar New Year. That passive is amazing, and the portal isn’t saturated with duds the way, say, the Goblin Village is. If the W3K anti-Lunar passive becomes prevalent then this portal’s usefulness diminishes.
(February) Season of Love. Probably the most useful heroes, as mana control is still useful even in today’s OP meta. These heroes also resist mana control, which is nice.
(Easter) Springvale. The oldest heroes, with many outdated stats and skills that self harm. One of the worst places to spend EHT, with a couple of good heroes.
(Summer) Beach and Sand. Beach heroes have a passive I really don’t rate, but the heroes are relatively new, so less powercrept stats. The Sand Empire heroes are all anti-healing, which is a fairly rare skill, but quite dated.
(Midsummer) Kalevala. Surprisingly tanky, with clutch self heals and mana gain, and resistant to their weaker element. They’re better than they look on paper.
(October) Morlovia. Hands-down has the fastest heroes, lots at very fast mana speed, with a family bonus that adds even more mana. If you use Gazelle, or any echo-casters (Darkfeather, Hippo, the Opera heroes), the rapid fire of very fast specials causes a lot of bonus damage. They’re also very status heavy, which may not land on toons, monks, clerics etc.
(December) Christmas. Probably the densest collection of good heroes, though the family bonus is underwhelming.
Do you already have all the 3 and 4 star heroes? If not, then summon for those. Kalevala has Joukahainen and Mielikki, 2 of the absolute best heroes for tourneys.
Once you have those save the rest of the tokens for other events with good 3 and 4 star heroes.
Only look at 5 stars after you have all the 3 and 4 stars.
First, you should wait until a secret summon is available. Then you should consider the HotM… there can be a lot of value there, or none at all. Only then should you worry about getting picky about which season you’re summoning in. If you are waiting until all the stars align just right, you could be waiting years.
