First rush war facing lb2 ludwigs and shrubbears adding a new layer of strategy.
IDK if it was mostly luck but you can see my hits facing 6 lb2 ludwigs and shrubbears.
Was forced to try and get my support heroes charged because I didn’t have many tiles in my 3 stack attack color.
Some thoughts afterwards…
- Same team strategy as before the lb2 taunts with emphasis on a dispeller in your 3 stack.
- Taunt will still offer protection (maybe lb2 shrubbears with the immediate 4 turns at the start… Idk if he dies then your in deep $#1T !
- Reflect heroes furdinand hawthorn kitty milady (and felton?) seem ideal vs Alf to use her against her team.

I made the mistake of not knowing about this and it hurt me real bad. TAKE A LOOK AT ME AND MY RUSH WAR FAILURE

I put in this team in defense:
C MN (LB1) - Ludwig - Alfrike - Gulli (LB1) - Shrub (LB2).
Team power 4525.
First kill took 6 (!) shots.
Second one 3 shots and still standing, next one will probably bring it down.
I am in a roughly top 2k alliance.

I don’t have my Alfrike maxed, but I’m running Lord Loki, Hachiko, Ludwig, Kullervo and LB2 shrubbear and it took 6 flags to kill me 3 times. If I put in a ressurrector might even be better, but, I was worried about no damage.
I’m in top 100 alliance, We faced this war with many LB2 Shrubbears, while we had none and we won by roughly 350 points. Me and my alliance mate also tried LB2 Shrub for rush def the 1st rush war, we both got One-shotted in 5 out of 6 one-shot attempts, so Idk. I don’t see that much difference with LB2 Shrubbear being involved in rush war defs. This war I didn’t have LB2 Shrub in my def and it survived 4 out of 6 OS attempts, though the opponent we faced this VF war felt weaker than the 1st VF war.
Or maybe Shrub doesn’t make as much difference only in the top 100, hard to say really.
In offense, it didn’t make that much difference, it does make some difference obviously. I mostly charged my heroes up to turn 4 and 4 turns is also the length of the starting taunt. It kinda feels like 50/50 if the taunt changes anything or no, if you take no dispel. If you take dispel, it can obviously save you as well.
My alliance also won both VF wars, though my performance was way better on the 1st one than on the 2nd one.
@3piphany Very nicely played, I have very few of the heroes you own, but a lot of rush game-changer support heroes you had there. I pretty much just wait out that starting taunt, but I also use my 2 C Sabinas, Frida or also try superior dispel with C Marj, CB Kiril or CB/C Mel. If the taunt wasn’t reduced from 6 to 4 turns, I feel like rush wars would be a lot more difficult, 4 turns to wait it up (or just dispel) is viable.

So 2nd rush war now with lb2 ludwigs and bears… people are already finding ways to deal with.
Bear on defense doesn’t seem difficult, it’s ludwig giving mana buff to adjacents on 6 tiles that’s a big challenge.
Whether they have alf khufu cupid or another heavy AOE hero, having a taunt and reflect with a dispeller seems like a good strategy, at least for my teams.
Need help with aramis tanks for rush (and regular wars too) especially if he’s lb2 lvl90.
My attack team was helpless with no chance to recover here on my 4th flag.
Best teams, strategies vs Aramis tanks?
