A few years ago I stopped playing the game as I had to focus on Uni and I was also growing a bit bored of it.
Now I’d like to come back to the game, but I’d like to start from scratch so I can sort of “relearn” the game as I’m assuming a lot of things change since I last logged in.
I looked up how I could reset my account, but unfortunately, it seems like Game Center keeps me from doing it as it saved my progress.
Granted I haven’t spent days looking for a solution, but I thought someone here maybe knew what to do
If you do not mind me asking, why do you want to start over? yes it is many things that have changed but you will loose your progress and specially the investment on heroes.
If that is really what do you want to do you have to sign out and use a different way to sign in. I a not sure what are the options but it can be google account, facebook or other method.
I honestly have no attachment for that account, I never bought anything with real money and I don’t remember anything about the champions I have and the mechanics of the game really.
In a situation like that, I’d rather start over than try and remember why I invested in the things and champs I did.
Also, like I said, I haven’t played the game and thus the account for at least 2 years.
So yeah, I just really want a clean start
Is there any way to ask Small Giant to wipe the account clean?
I tried creating a ticket but I haven’t heard anything back.
Yes. Send SG a ticket, via their support, asking them to do just that. You have to rummage through the menus quite a bit to find that request, but it is in there somewhere. I used that to wipe my account early 2020.
Alternatively, create an new Gmail account and log into Empires with that. Both options will put you back at the beginning, tutorial and everything.
Best wishes and happy gaming
Edit: Option 2 assumes you are running on Android. Although Apple must have ways of having multiple accounts too, given the huge number of players in Empires running alts.
It sounds like you need to set up a new account to start a new game from scratch. As for how to do that, I’m not entirely sure but presumably you need a separate account with Google Play.
From a quick Google search, it would seem SG still offer the service of deleting accounts.
How long ago did you contact them? I remember it took a while for them to respond… a few weeks from me submitting the ticket to my account being wiped.
I sent a first one to which I received a quick reply with the “how to reset progress” answer from their FAQ, to which I replied by asking for the account to be completely deleted.
So it’s been hours since the first ticket, but if you tell me it can take weeks I’ll just wait longer
I’m playing another mobile game where tickets are usually adressed within the hour of them being sent.
Once the ball is rolling, a lot depends on how fast you respond to them. They email on several occasions asking if you wish to proceed, as they unpick your account from their servers a bit at a time. You won’t notice it in game, but that’s how it’s done apparently.
I’m sure you’ll be a happy “new” player again soon enough.
Just create a second account on Game centre linked to a disposable/non essential email address. You won’t lose your initial original game progress and you can make level 17 on the new one in about 3 days. Game mechanics have changed in that time but you won’t be able to meaningfully tell at that level. You’ll get all the same vanilla heroes.
