Thanks for your reply on the other post. We have 3 active players that are looking for a new alliance. We are a package deal. Although we play daily, I assume that people can take a couple days off with a heads up if needed. Is that correct?
All three of you are welcome to join us. Certainly absences happen in life, we only ask that you give us a heads up and blank your teams during the war set up. We can really use some help right now with our titans.
Perfect! Our war ends in an hour or so and weâll grab our loot. Do you have Line? Iâm morwen1 on it.
We recently started using discord but very few use it. We coordinate everything through chat and so far it works for us. So excited to welcome you. We just had some drama today with two of our players, very unusual for us, but they are engaged, so Iâm sure itâs an isolated incidence
Ok not a problem. Look for Morwen and Azuth in an hour and the third will come a little later. Could you get the entry changed from open to invite only so that you donât lose the 3rd spot?
Will do if i can catch our leader.
Its changed, i didnt know if i could it as co-leader.
Who is the third so i can watch for him.
Can I ask what you gain with blanking team in case of absence?
I see that just all other teams are become more worthy, and opponent need less flags, because itâs 5 heroes less. Please, enlighten me?
I found this post by looking at your other posts from that âtips about aw strategyâ one.
By blanking their team it gets removed from the battlefield just before the war. That way they will not be attacked the three times during the war. That is a savings of at least 120 points, depending on what they are worth. Because they arenât going to be attacking, all those points would count against us. Yes, their points are distributed among the remaining teams, but they are put onto the stronger teams, too. The only exception to blanking the teams is our leader and another player. Their teams are over 4000 power (very strong for our alliance). We told them to never blank their teams as they act like tanks on the field to avoid us getting totally wiped out. If the opponent can take them out, we are going to lose anyway.
Thanks for explaining
Ok, so your strategy holds while you have those two tanky playersâŚ
Because, for similarly distributed team power, having more teams to attack means opponent need more flags to earn same number of points which means lowering chances for respawn.
And how to you mean - blanking team? Like putting 1star heroes and eating them or something like that?
During the set up the player will edit their team and remove every hero. The devs have changed the rules so only one needs to be blanked in order to remove the team from the field. If the matchup is badly mis-matched our âstrategyâ doesnât make much difference. In a very close battle however, where every point counts, itâs huge to have those points scored against us. It also protects the missing player from feeling like it was their fault the points were scored against them and they werenât there to help.
Interesting. Maybe you should add that suggestion in that war strategy topic?
I think itâs good advice until SG implements âopt outâ button for each player which would then even help with matching with similar teams, not just doing damage control.
