Sorry about the ignorance guys but what do you mean by cursed?
One of the tiles on the board will turn into a different icon/symbol, which is a ācursedā tile. If you do not destroy it by matching it to the colour it belongs to, using a diamond to set it off then it will ācurseā a hero. It shows WHICH hero is going to be cursed. Once you destroy that tile within 3 moves, it will NOT curse the hero. however, if you fail to destroy the cursed tile in 3 moves, it will curse your hero, then if that same hero gets cursed again he/she canāt be used any more in the event. The curse carries over from floor to floor.
Tornadoes. Timestops. Axes, etc are all good to have on supply if you can
So, first 10 floors, not very fast in getting through, but done it with 3* heros and in later stages 4* that I donāt use often. 2 of them got 1 curse.
I actually like the mechanism. Itās the first time so I lack the knowledge in planning who to bring to the battle, so I guess Iām overly cautious. I see there will be flasks, but gonna consider buying them for later stages. I assume those gonna be more difficult, and curses will show more often. So far so good.
Okey sir ty, but the curse accumulates if u get to another stage? For example, if you get cursed once in lvl 1 , next time that heroe gets cursed in lvl 2, you cant use it anymore right?
I died using 3* on Floor 10.
I used the free flask they gave us to re-do it, and this time used some 4*, including Roostley and Malosiā¦ (both at 3/70 or less) and everyone died and Malosi got 1x Curse.
Definitely stock up on Tornadoes and everytthing else that can eliminate enemies and the bosses. I had no way to remove the cursed tile that cursed Malosi, I mean literally there was no matches next to it, and definitely none of te colour I needed.
I like itās a lot more challenging, but 2x curses to eliminate you is very bad, we need 3 or 4 since it relies too much on RNG still.
I reached the 10th floor without using items and without loosing any hero. Anyways i can see its turning more and more intricated. The poison mist is a thing that you need to handle it with a healer.
For the first 6 floor i used only my 3 stars going with a 3-2 approach. That you can see the color of moobs and bosses is important to plan correctly.
Heroes used so far:
Ei-Dunn, c.hawkmoon, ulmer, nordri, c.gunnar, x2 Bjorn, kvasir, melia, Bane.
Sif (2.60), Skadi (3.50), Roc (2.60)
Maxed but unemblemed
Chao, Jott, Boldtusk (number 2), colen, gormek
Other 4 i used for lvl 7-10
Kiril, li xiu, triton.
So far im keeping the heavy emblemed 4* and 5s for later stages. I think that using all the best at the begining could be dangerous , because a bad board can curse good heroes.
Correct.
It carries through.
So the first 10 are not exclusively possible with 3 stars.
This is Already worring me that i would not get that far
I hoped to start with 4s after lvl 15s or so.
I would definitely say itās not, but then itās RNG with the tiles as with anything.
Just take as many items as you can to try avoid the curses. And donāt underestimate the bosses, when they fire at 2x or 3x charge they will wipe out 3* very easily.
I have done 8 floors so far and cannot make it with just fully leveled 3* anymore.
Or you would need to bring a ton of items
Then donāt play it - ignore the Ninja Tower, and enjoy life.
Oh man, play for fun. Fun is free.
If itās not amusing to you, donāt.
Does nobody play for the pure challenge any more? Is loot, loot and more loot the only appeal for doing anything in this game?
It is more content. Content that is free to play. Content that gives you more stuff than you had before, using energy that you didnāt have before, providing a challenge you didnāt have before. Enjoy it, or move along. Literally nothing to complain about here.
Exactly. Iām also becoming sick of the constant debate and battle between spenders and non-spendersā¦ Play the game if you want, if youāre playing to get something, better donāt.
Am I missing something? 1 coin per level, 50 levels IF you complete, 1 pull is 100 coins! So even if you complete still cant do a single pull.
Basically only way to pull is pay.
Every addition to this game now is just a cash grab.
I completed all 10 levels with unemblemed 3*. Gunnar, chick jr , Nordri, Gato and c Hawkmoon. No curses so far.
I had to use bombs and axes on two levels. Level 6 on the last stage in order to avoid curse and on level 10 to avoid being wiped out.
One thing I did was not caring about how much time the level took. I had a feeling that the curse tiles were almost always possible to remove from just making your next one or two moves around it. And I also saved all diamonds to use in case of need.
Edit, I also used minor mana and health pots on all levels above 5.
Soā¦ I got the energy flasks here and managed to climb to 25th floor (died once in the process).
My few impressions of the event:
- Challenge:
After first day, I am really enjoying the new challenge this event brings. It reminds me of an idea which I posted not so long ago about introducing Diablo 3 rifts concept into E&P. While there are boundaries here and mechanics are not as rich as one could wish for, it is certainly enjoyable experience. The fact you canāt just rush through this using your best heroes all the time is exactly where the future of the game is I think. We will see what the other half of the tower is - I already lost few valuable heroes, and some others definitely proven too weak to handle the bosses, so anything can happen. I also like that you donāt get to retry the stages infinitely - something that ruins the point of event challenges for me. Of course, rng plays a factor, but it plays a factor for everyone equally.
- Heroes & Summons
Well, it looks we got a āseasonal summonsā version of troop token usage, with epic troops having higher chance of dropping here. Time to hoard them to use once a month it seems. As for heroes, I do not yet have an opinion - frankly, didnāt pay much attention to beta thread. Will evaluate them when I fight them. My 15 summons to celebrate the start of event only brought me my trillionth Quintus and not even an epic Ninja so thatās a boomer.
- Rewards
Yea, well. I think lack of reward for completing all 50 floor is grim disappointment. If for all that effort you only get 1 free summon and few dozens of emblems, itās really, really bad. If you can make it only half way through, you would need 3 months of playing to get one free summon. The rewards being tiered again like in the challenge events and not % based like in tournaments is also disappointing. Will see how easy is to land in each tier, but judging by the number of people playing this game, 90% will get maximum of 5 emblems for each class and some joke arrows. Itās really, really bad. And the Battle Itemsā¦ come on, those that land the top tiers wonāt give a damn about any of theseā¦
So overall, my impression is similar to Tavernās. Good for challenge, good for gameplay, really nice addition to use all those dusted heroes, butā¦ thereās almost no reward for the efforts, just play it to enjoy it, and expect nothing.
I got a free flask in my Inbox today, so make sure to check your inbox.
AND I didnāt realise but using 1x Flask gives you 5 flags to use.
Hereās what I have to say about the event so far:
-I do not understand why anybody is complaining about anything. The event uses its own type of energy and nobody is being forced to play it. Personally, I consider anything and everything that I get from completing the event levels to be kind of like a bonus because it doesnāt cost me anything to do them that I might be using somewhere else.
-At least so far, the Tower does not mess up anything with PoV because it doesnāt require its own energy. Isnāt it fun when AR is going and PoV wants you to beat three S1 map stages and three quests? LOL
-Unless you have heroes who are totally expendable, I would recommend just taking the best teams possible to complete the levels as quickly as possible. The faster you beat a level, the fewer tiles you bring up, which means the fewer cursed tiles that need to be cleared. Of course, some people might have heroes who are more expendable than others and you might also want to focus on protecting your best heroes.
-SAVE DIAMONDS!!! I would recommend trying to avoid popping your diamonds in case you get a cursed tile of that color in a difficult position to clear. Even then, donāt use the diamond until you have no other choice to avoid the curse. Iāve used a diamond to get rid of a curse and then had a curse in the same color pop up on the very next turn, so save diamonds unless you have absolutely no other choice.
-Tornadoes might help to get rid of cursed tiles, but so far, I havenāt seen any loot that really justifies the use of the tornado, in my opinion. Maybe it gets better. I have completed fifteen stages so far.
MINOR COMPLAINT:
Okay, I said I donāt understand complaining about the event, but I do have one complaint that doesnāt only have to do with this event:
Why do Season 1 3* heroes have to be in EVERY summon? How hard would it be for Ninja Tower just to get rid of ONLY the Season 1 RARE heroes and replace them with Season 2 or Season 3? It seems like a pointless slap in the face for anyone who puts in the work to get a draw and then just pulls a hero that they could have got from a free regular summon token.
Iām not even saying to get rid of ALL the S1 heroes from the summon, just the 3* ones.
OVERALL:
Overall, I still like the event and do not have any complaints about the event itself. If you think you can be competitive and you want to spend, then spend. If you donāt want to spend, then donāt spend. Iām not spending anything on this event or the summon portal for this event. Iād at least think about the summon portal offer if they would take the S1 3* out of the thing.
But, you do the eventā¦you get as far as you canā¦you get stuff without using world energies. Whatās not to like?
