This is an embarassing g question obviously I’m a NOOB. How exactly do talent grids work for costumes? Are they they same as whatever you do to the original hero or do you have to spend as much emblems and have the option to do a different sequence?? Specifically looking for my boyfriends Kiril

You only need one set of emblems but you must emblem the original.
In this example I use the costume version more often so I emblemed the original hero but followed the path I wanted on costume version.
