Can someone explain the mechanics of the costumes when a hero gets the 2nd one? Do I have to max both costumes to get the full effect? If that is the case, what are the effects? The 2nd costumes have made some older heroes, including Classic Heroes, relevant again (Kiril, Magni, and many more). I’d just like to understand all of the nitty gritty details. Thank you for any positive feedback. I apologize for being so obtuse.

Each costume has separate abilities.
You have to equip the costume to make sure that’s the one you’re fighting with.
You don’t have to level any you don’t like.
HOWEVER.
You will benefit massively from doing so. If both costumes are fully levelled, you’ll get a larger bonus to the overall stats of ALL version of that hero.
And it’s cheap and fast to level costumes compared to the base version.
Embleming follows the same path on all the costumes, you can’t change it. It must be done on the base costume.
Either choose the costume you think you’ll use the most, and make sure you follow that path, or try to keep a blended mix to keep them all balanced (if possible).
