OK, I’m not a natural player and my pattern recognition both blows and sucks but I feel I am making a fundamental error somewhere. I have tried an assortment of colours but Epic stage 12, I can’t beat. That woman thing sucks the marrow out of my bones and the life goodness from my heroes.
Last 2 times I tried BoldTusk, Mist, Falcon, Li Xiu (Wu the time before) and Gormek. Falcon and Gormek are not an ideal combo, but that’s what I have got. (Maxed) I have a second Li Xui, Sonya, Boril, 2 x Caedmon (a Melendor who seems to favour rapid suicide), some maxed purples and an assortment of 3:60 duplicates. What materials should I bring also?
Help me wonderful people, you are my only hope.
Try running 3 or 4x Yellows & target Marie first.
Before going into the final battle, try to set-up your board so that a) all your hero specials are ready to go and b) you got a bunch of nice yellow tiles on the board (preferably a diamond too)
I can see that BT will be kind essential and I can follow with Mist, Li Xiu 1 and Li Xiu 2 (EDIT: or Wu) and number 5 might be Falcon? Maybe a second healer? I don’t have a Kiril and usually get by with Rigard, Sabina (or their 3:60 duplicates) or Melendor who is not ideal, but at least green is not reflected and he has the dispel.
I planned on switching between red and blue lineups in rare, but I did a first pass through the levels to try things out and Noordri/Gunnar was so overpowering I think I’ll just use blue. In the epic, I’m using a red lineup.
do you have any more red heroes?
I literally got materials for Falcon this morning and he is at 4:42 and Gormek, as I mentioned earlier, and then just a Scarlett, a Sumitomo and 2 Colens at 3:60 (Elena is not happening; hidden blades are rare for m)… BT 2 isn’t cooked yet either.
BT, Melendor, Li Xiu 1&2 and Sonya was a failure. I got a higher score with Rigard as healer 2 (Sabina gave the same outcome. Mist and Li Xiu 1 was more effective than 2 Li’s. Materials used: large healing potion, small mana, large mana and bombs.
Ok,
BT, Gormek, Falcon, Scarlett, Colen.
@bobiscool. Hopefully sixth time lucky🤪Rare was easy and Epic was just fine right until i scored my first loss at Epic 12. It is sending me nuts, try #2 was the most successful (that was a rainbow of all things) and I only lost that because i forgot materials available. I’d love to blame boards but am fairly certain it is me.
Thanks
@bobiscool. That was pretty spectacularly amazing. They just died, no materials used, no nothing. You are worth your weight in cockatoo feathers.
Thank you.
EDIT: I’m not a mono player; I guess i didn’t have the heroes but I am unused to 3, 4 or 5 heroes charging simultaneously and I expected less red than i got. Clearly i am going to have to revise things in the future.
So I just finished the last level of epic with this no-frills, not even fully maxed 4* team:
Didn’t have to use a single item outside of bomb+axe, didn’t need to continue either.
Now to be very fair I had an amazing board going into the boss round with two yellow diamonds already setup, and a red diamond just waiting to be made. Fired BT+Wilbur, then targeted Sargasso with Mist and let loose with the tile cascade. Fired Li Xiu then targeted Locke with Chao as she charged the fastest. Played a few more tile rounds until Marie was probably a tile or two away from firing, checked their health and all were under 2500!!! So then just blew them away with bombs+axes.
I think Wilbur and Mist were key to winning the stage with a somewhat underpowered team. Wilbur basically singlehandedly kept the team alive, while Mist’s -64% mana generation meant I could let loose with those yellow and red diamonds without fear of setting any of the boss characters off. The -34% def against special also meant Chao and Li Xiu both hit a tiny bit harder, probably just enough to get under the 2500 HP threshold where I could just bomb my way to a win.
ETA: For those curious, Sargasso and Marie both had about 5300 HP, while Locke was a bit lower at 4700 something.
