Completed legendary with an atypical approach. Honestly, I donāt even remember my team composition now. I think it was Boldtusk, Cyprian, Rigard, Boril, and 3.60 Melendor. Also took tornadoes, mana pots, bombs, and dragons.
I decided to give it a go just to see how things would work out (especially given my advice to others about Hatter stealing buffsā¦ like riposte and attack boost. I believe I made it to the bosses intact and with a decent board setup to pile tiles into Rabbit and Alice to get them to kill themselves. Well, I underestimated how hard theyād hit, and Rigard was done after the first salvo, due to AI picking on the same target. I had dealt a lot of counterattack damage in the process of getting him killed. I decided to let it ride, but once I lost Melendor, I had no more cleansing, they had stolen my counterattack, and things really started to look south. I knew that Rabbit was in nuke range, and Alice was getting there. And then I wasnāt thinking and didnāt mana up Boril, so I missed a great chance to deal some more damage when someoneās special went off. Eventually the whole team went down, and it was after a big combo of tiles, so I wasnāt sure where Hatter and Alice were with health.
I decided I was close enough, my strategy was working, and I still had all my items, so I bought the continue, dropped the nukes, and finished them off easily, even with Hatter stealing riposte again (and again).
So not orthodox, required a continue, but I did it with all vanilla 4* heroes and some patience. The coins resulted in a Carver, but hey, for 100 emblems (and the mats and WE flasks), the 75 gems were more than worth it. After that finish, Iām barely holding on to a top 100k finish, so Iāll have to see where I am tomorrow and what I have to spend to get the trial done before I decide whether or not to try to keep myself in the top 100k for the three additional WE flasks.
