After getting Sobek with his costume on my first pull earlier in October, I thought that I would focus on him when I’m done with Rosalind, and even before Mene. Sobek hits all and bypass is a lovely convenience for those defenders. He has nice passives to keep the pressure. However, frost on top of the DOT’s Sobek does already could add some additional pressure in a mono team. 
Also, I enjoy Mene’s passives too. It could definitely help her gain a later advantage after the first time she fires.

I think Hel looks like something out of a comic book to be honest. Mene looks more serious, which is very welcome in this day and age of ridiculous E&P graphics. I sometimes still like to pretend I’m playing a fantasy-themed RPG instead of a virtual slot machine where anything goes.

Comic books have been the basis of some of the most successful media of recent times. As material for heroes, they’re super. 
Greek god Athena was our second HotM.
I’ll look forward to seeing how Mene looks in game.

I wonder if she could generate even more mana with skadi, as a frost stack should be able to stack with normal frost DOT

Wondered that too, but in today’s meta it’s hard for Skadi to kill even weaker minions. Also thinking that Corrosive Frost should work too (though normal and Corrosive frost don’t stack).
Otherwise I think this is a good HotM, a straight upgrade to Avianna. Her initial hit is nothing to write home about, but it gets compounded by frost DoT and damage from prevented buffs. And she charges faster when enemies are Frosted 
. With Armel and such she’ll get mana very fast. And of course buff blocker is one of most useful status effects, let alone one that also damages when blocking something.
Not OP; even that mana-for-frost is balanced by monks and toons resisting such effects, but handy and can potentially start to fire quickly from second round on, especially with that buff blocker. I’d like to get my paws on her.

I think we got the winner of the contest: “How boring can you possibly make a hotm?” And we get the winner every month lol.
So now we have a hero whose biggest plus is the artwork, the only halfway interesting game feature is an obscure, jumping-through-hoops mana boost and absolutely nothing besides that? Yes definitely a winner, just in the wrong category…
Let´s see what junk they throw at us next month.

I think in this case Boring but Practical may apply. Buff Blocker is always handy and many F/C2P won’t have access to that even considering Archie. She’d be perfect if she dispelled prior to attacking, but oh well.

Nearly anyone has better buff block options available to them already: C2Caedmon is wiping the floor with this one. Or C1Sabina. Of course without the full costume bonus both are a bit weak, well at least Sabina is, but if you got the toon bonus for both of them, I see no reason why I would ever play this hero, even if I got it maxed and ready to go for free. Wasting valuable resources on it is completely out of the question. I´d rather max a second Caedmon or a third lol.
Of course if you are FTP and have ascension mats coming out of your ears and nothing better to do, then by all means, why not? But if you have to choose between this one and another one for mats, well it´s most likely going to be the other one.

Who also do well with interesting artwork, even the undead being more anatomically realistic and emotionally engaged.
There have been a lot of studies related to forcing players to play with cardboard, unappealing, or even just unexceptional avatars.

I am interested in this hero, would like to have her join the team. Black Friday is at the end of this month so no rush to do summons before that, shame Santa’s challenge doesn’t come into the tail end of November, have EHTs saved for that.

Frosth doesn‘t do any frost damage at all, it‘s only his name or maybe the elemental link what‘s brought him into that list

This looks like a solid event hero who will pair well with my roster. If others don’t see a use for her they don’t have to level. I, however, am very happy to have gotten her early.
