anyway, this was a jab at the ridiculous situation of: picking hero X in SE, then getting that same hero X in my planned 30-pull, and âwastingâ all the gems I spent 6 months to collect, but the joke stops being funny if I have to explain it, so⊠LOL

Just like @sleepyhead, this is my âpoorâ person problem. This is only my second SE after taking MN in the first one. Getting to 20 is big and it wonât happen again for a while. I had actually identified about 10 different heroes from various reasonable prediction lists that I would be very happy with so I didnât go into this thinking I was being overly picky. But none of these presents something that could fill a meaningful role in my roster - and I have a lot of identified holes there. These are heroes that donât have the stats to add the big punch, just more of the âokayâ that I already have. Minion control is the one area that Iâm pretty happy with and yellow is my best roster color so Topaz wasnât on my short list and isnât a hero I can justify for any reason. Sure guardian kong is great, my I have Mits from FS (like everyone else really) making him not that much more great. No filling a new role.
And so it is disappointing. It is disappointing to have identified so many reasonable heroes and not see any of them. I will not be selecting from this list. I literally canât afford the wasted slot. I have a large number of 4* costumes from the chamber and will be spending the next 3 months on those.
There are some solid heroes in this crop. But none that will really bring up my game except CKong, but Iâll be taking Zimkitty for free in the fated summons to get the rare red dispeller. I happy with my decision, I can imagine taking a hero that I like and not having enough heroes to trade next time when thereâs a hero thatâs perfect.

You donât get the costume for Zimkitha in Fated Summon, so you can only cleanse with her, not dispel.

Guardian Kong looks good on paper but I have to ask myself, will I ever and when ascend him? I doubt it.
On the other side, Agrafena I might find use at 3/70 against titans and could probably ascend her in a year and she still would not be completely obsolete because she does not deal direct damage which is stats dependant and also might be sturdy enough to fire at least once or twice

CKong has been a champion at my level! He added a nice value to my team! He also did wonders in the current tournament (buff booster - no green). First time using him in such tournament and I have only lost 1 match. He is doing a great job for my roster.
He should be getting a small boost in stats after the big balance update as well.
What is your level? I raid in around 2900-3100 trophies. War is a bit less challenging but still tile dependant and average with low def does not cut it for me most of the time. I often have hard time charging very fast heroes
