Yep, but when you know how to play, it is bearable. As long as you have an undamaged overhealer, you can play.
So now everyone will rush into portals where you can pull overhealers :wink:

My initial thoughts, may sound negative, but its just me being honest with how I feel.

I love the game in all honesty.

This is likely true, but it sure isn’t very clear how to do that, or anything. Was there a guide or explanation I missed? I have not to date been accepted as a Beta tester.

The permanent damage is a joy killer. I enjoy the foray into monster island to see what it’s about. I’m enjoying most aspects of it. But the permanent damage has limited that joy to 3 horde attacks and one apex attack.

I now have six heroes that are effectively unusable (1 dead) because of the permanent damage they have suffered. And I have several other heroes effectively unusable because they summon minions. Minions attract more damage and therefore more permanent damage. So what’s the point of using them?

And I also now have huge holes in my apex-fighting teams (basically titan teams) because those heroes are useless.

I can see needing/wanting the permanent damage to make it more challenging for those super players who have deep rosters completely leveled up of all the strongest heroes. But that’s, what, less than 5% of the player base? So everyone else who plays gets their enjoyment of the event completely wiped out or ended earlier than the event ends to cater to that?

There has to be a better alternative than 20% permanent damage. Here are a few off the top of my head:

  • Scale the permanent damage based on difficulty. Go ahead and make the highest difficulty 20%, but scale down for the lower difficulties. (Permanent damage is still a horrible idea, IMO, and this wouldn’t really fix it much, just prolong the inevitable.)

  • Have the “permanent” damage reset when energy resets each day. Sure, my heroes took damage which affected their ability to continue, but they went back to camp, right? They rested, right? Then why can’t they heal and be ready to go the next day/energy cycle? Same should go for “deaths.” Or at least have a way to use a revive scroll on a hero while at camp so it’s not totally free.

  • Just get rid of it entirely. It is not a fun aspect of the event, to me and my alliance mates. Find some other way to limit heroes or hero usage. (Though this would be catering to the top players with the deep rosters again.)

Interesting mode to enjoy the game.IMO and its what i recommended to my fellow alliance members: minimize item expenditure and just have fun with it.Also having thoughts about the difficulty placement (we got hard,which is ridiculous) so we will wait and see…Lastly it΄s a chore to coordinate my teammates to a new event

Thanks, Oak. I did not find that to be very illuminating, but I appreciate the pointer.

Kind of gives players reason to keep their Titan low. Not sure I like that.

I went with neutral for now. I’m not sure I understand the mechanics enough to make an informed decision yet. What i have seen so far I have enjoyed.

Anyone knows how many treasure chests are?

It’s impossible to please everyone. This monster island is better than most things implemented into the game I the past year or row imo. Way better than those annoying and boring towers.

Oh, by multiple powers of 10. Absolutely.

It’s kind of cool. I haven’t figured out how to use my resources properly, but it’s a learning experience.

Overall like the concept. However, agree w/ the non-healing being a big negative. Would also preger if Easy- hardest sectors were accessible 2 all so alliances or players w/ less optimal power & roster could enjoy & team up w/ similar team mates 2 complete a horde etc.

My alliance wasn’t allowed to participate. So it is terrible.

I love it. Something new. The hordes are fun and I’ve been using the same team for them. The AM doing permanent damage is interesting. Would love to see them roll out these AM into 15* titans in the regular game.

A bit vague in the beginning, but our alliance likes it. Currently in the top 200 on hard.

Great fun! Too hard for a majority of my alliance, as I do about 25-30% of the damage on each of our 10-11* titans :grimacing:
But they contribute by opening the board.
Love the new aspect, and hope it will be even better with some tweaks (and better understanding of the feature)

I would love it, except for the fact that it’s difficult as hell, and it takes all the pleasure from me. 7*-8* titans were enough to set a difficult mode for our alliance. I’ve already lost my strongest teams, and it’s a shame that heroes are unusable so fast. One wave of the horde kills my whole team, two hits of the titan kill any hero from my roster, and I’m unable to restore health as ot’s permanently decreasing. I like the concept overall, but I’m excesively dissapointed of how it turned out.
