Yeah, I realize that now. It was actually funny.
I thought it was a lot of fun. I understand that the rewards are still in placeholder mode. There were a lot of complaints last time regarding alliances being put into tiers that pitted them against top players. There was much less of this type of complaint so I assume that the tier assignment is being worked on. (This would explain some of the low loot rewards. You canāt really give large amounts of loot out until people feel that they are in the right tier assignment. Look at how vocal players are about war matching/mismatching.)
Someone mentioned earlier that they would like to see an adjustment to the tiering mechanism for alliance size. I would agree with this. Our alliance was down 4-5 people from last time and our ability to use energy to fully explore the island was meaningfully impacted.
Overall, I would like to see more tiers for alliance sorting, beyond 3 tiers for easy, medium, and hard. This would narrow the range of alliances any group was competing against and positively increase everyoneās competitive stance. Increasing the number of tiers would obviously increase the number of players receiving loot, which is a good thing given the extended time and resources the event uses.
You must be well organized to manage your accounts. Iām curious about it. May I ask you how many devices do you use? Do your accounts participate in wars?
I did like the alliance cooperation, but I think it should have rewards for individual performance too. The one that did nothing receives the same amount of bonus as the ones that did all the work. I donāt agree with this situation
I think itās a good way to change the gameplay, to get away from just hitting heroes and titans. One suggestion would be to think of a way to also reward individual players who dedicate themselves and not just the entire alliance
No, I donāt have time to go full out on developing alts. They were made for the purposes of free ViP, and afterwards around 20 were semi-developed to help with killing higher level titans (in the beginning only alliances who were killing 3* titans or less accepted me). So, no wars for my alts. As for organization - I prefer doing Auto fights with my alts, and have an additional mobile device + a PC emulator to help me with that.
For example, on the Monster Island, alts were used to Auto-kill (respawning) Monster Hordes. And low-level alts were used for scouting manually but at least thatās a fast process.
I donāt think I would be able to do this if I switched to the Medium or Hard difficulty. Much more devotion and development of 30 accounts is required for that. And probably taking a vacation from work at the time next Monster Island startsā¦
I like the event, but there a few things I personally would like to see different:
- Timing of event and energy refresh intervals: being in the middle of the week, and being such and intense event as this is, and also have energy refresh every 8 hours just doesnāt work well for an alliance where most people have work and family. Most of our members have one time period during the evening of the day, where they can dedicate the time needed for this event. Meaning they can truly commit to the event every 24 hour, and not every 16. And where we live, this typically meant we got energy refresh both during night and early day work, so most of us missed out on at least 500 energy. This event either needs to be during weekend or the timing needs to be longer, with a longer lasting event overall with 12 hours between energy refill, or increase the max enegy to 1500. Basically, let us be able to maximize the event effort even if we only have one time period every day where we can commit to the time needed.
- Rewards feels too low compared to the time invested.
- I donāt get the system for alliance reward tiers, why make it so incredibly top heavy? With starting second tier at 400 or better, and then having multiple small steps from there to the top. Having something closer to mythic titan/challenge event would be perfect, getting extra rewards for being top 50% or top25% would be super fun and motivating, even if the reward bonuses are small. Otherwise 95% of alliances will just not care about highscores and kind of half assing it. I think this is a general issue you have with alliance events, as they often score very low on player interest surveysā¦ easy improvements, make the alliance events actually FEEL like events that most alliances should try to care aboutā¦
Just a couple of suggestions that I think would address some issues and make it more RPG-like.
- Ability to create a new camp. Basically when you go exploring, you can either use energy (either set, or increasing as you put more: 10, 25, 40 etc), or maybe every player is issued 2 or 3 āfreeā abilities to create a satellite camp for the event, so you donāt have to keep going back.
- When you take a hero out with permanent damage and leave them at a camp, they regenerate their permanent damage (maybe a rate of 100-300/hr?). Maybe not too fast so you still need a deep roster, but still allows you to use the same hero at least 2 or 3 times during the event.
Did anyone figure out how to avoid two people fighting the last horde wave at once and wasting resources that way? I guess maybe people can coordinate by chat or move off the horde cell when they finish attacking? I know people asked for an in-game mechanism to show when someone else is attacking ā but I did not notice anything like that added?
There is no fail safe, just have to ācall itā and communicate.
Overall I like the event but the Apex Monsters were way to strong for most in our Alliance and there is no way we would ever place high for loot in the Hard Tier.
So here are my thoughts. Our Alliance Titan Score was 60K. When I looked at the leader boards I noticed that the top Alliances in the Middle Group had Titan Scores right around 55K and the top teams in the Hard Group had Titan Scores around 110K.
So, an Alliance with a Titan Score around 60K will always fall into the low tier of overall scoring and have a heck of a time killing any of the Apex Monsters.
Just a thougnt scale the HP and damage the Apex Monster deals with the Titan Score (say in 10 bracktets) For example
Titan Score 100K pluse Apex monster at 100% HP and Damage
Titan Score 90 to 100K Apex monster at 90% HP and Damage.
and so on down the line for weaker Alliances.
This will at lease give more members on weaker Alliances a chance to take a crack at an Apex Monster.
You could do something simmilar too for the strength of the monsters in the Hordes too.
Just trying to think of a way to make the event fun, challenging for all and give all Alliances a chane at getting inot the top 100 once in a while.
